In past two decades, the reproductive health of men took a serious beating with the host of many factors that can be ascribed with a faulty lifestyle. According to the expert doctors, they said that; it is the entire problem related to modern lifestyle in today’s life. In India the ratio of infertility in men has increases in due course of time due to many wrong habits and bad lifestyle. Any kind of addiction is indeed bad for your reproductive health, “But it can be corrected with improving lifestyles"

What is male infertility?

* To reproduce a baby is a simple and natural experience for many couples whereas, some couples find it difficult to even conceive
* Mans fertility or to produce a baby totally depends upon the quality and quantity of his sperm
* Number of sperm a man ejaculates seems to be low or if the sperm produced that are of a poor quality, it becomes difficult, and sometimes impossible also
* It is diagnosed after, testing both the partners, reproductive problems

Is male infertility common?

* Infertility is termed as widespread problem, where one in five infertile couple have the problem that lies solely in their male partners
* It is estimated that one in 20 men has some kind of fertility problem with low numbers of sperm in his ejaculate
* However, only about one in every 100 men has no sperm in his ejaculate.

What can be the causes of male infertility?

* It is usually caused by the problems that affect either sperm production or sperm transport
* With the help of medical testing, the doctor can find the cause of the problem
* Almost two-thirds of infertile men have a problem with making their sperm in the testes. Moreover, the sperm that are made do not function properly as it suppose to or the sperm produced are very low in number
* Sperm transport problems are found only in men which have vasectomy but wish to have more children
* Any kind of obstruction in the tube leads the sperm far away from the testes to the penis as a result to which it causes complete lack of sperm
* Other common causes of infertility include: sexual problems that affect whether penis can enter the woman’s vagina for fertilisation to take place (one in 100 infertile couples); low levels of hormones made in the pituitary gland that act on the testes (one in 100 infertile men); and sperm antibodies (found in one in 16 infertile men)
* In most men sperm antibodies do not willingly affect the chance of being pregnant but in some men sperm antibodies may reduce fertility

* Drinking alcohol lowers the level of testosterone, and causes erectile dysfunction and decreases sperm production
* Liver disease caused by excessive drinking may also lead to fertility problems
* Smoking', is hazard for your sperm count.
* If your intake of smoking tobacco is high it will directly lead to your fertility because smoking lowers your sperm count and it may affect male fertility
* Male smokers can suffer decreased in their quality of sperm and it boots numbers of abnormally shaped sperm
* Moreover, if you are a chain smoker there are chances as well that may decrease the sperm's ability to fertilize eggs
* Hormonal imbalance
* We all are aware that hormones plays a major role in sexual health
* In men estrogen is the manufacture of fat cells, so by any chance if it gets affected it may lead to severe complications for your sexual health
* Other non- sex hormones often called as thyroxin may also affect your sex hormones in the same manner
* When we are diagnosed with a hormonal imbalance, doctors recommend blood tests or salivary hormone tests which often tells what is wrong
* Are boys more egoistic?
* If boys are running much out of ego problem or self esteem, then it may lead to erectile dysfunction
* According to the new research it is found out that 90% of cases are organic in nature
* This can be one of the common causes of impotence

However, particularly much number of males today is aware of the issue and are desperately coming forward to discuss their problems with their doctors. Male factor contributed almost about 30% to known causes of infertility.
