Hello, Thank you for your enquiry. We will try our best to list the techniques of hair transplant and their respective cost estimations. Basically, there are two types of hair transplant: 1. Surgical 2. Non- Surgical. Surgical Hair Transplant: 1. Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT) : This technique mainly involves the extraction of an entire strip from the donor area wherever there is less hair fall. The strip is then dissected to individual grafts. 2. Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) : Under FUE, single follicular units that have 1 or more hair is first extracted and then implanted into the recipient area. This technique is an advancement of FUT. 3. Direct Hair Implantation (DHI) : This technique is almost similar to the FUE technique. The only difference is that the extracted hair follicles are implanted with the help of DHI implanter. 4. Robotic Surgery: This procedure is solely designed by the specialists and performed by the robots. Under this technique, an ARTAS robotic system is used to extract the hair follicles and implant them into the recipient area. Non- surgical hair transplant: 1. Platelet-rich Plasma Therapy (PRP) : Under this therapy, a person’s blood is drawn, processed and then injected into the scalp. Further, the cost of hair transplant depends upon various factors such as the experience of the surgeon, technique you opt for, use of the technology and so on. The initial cost of hair transplant for 1000 grafts is Rs.30,000. Hope our answer helps you.

Hi, I'm Diana, 21 from Malaysia. I have been surveying for a forehead shortening surgery around here in Malaysia but too bad they don't have it. As I am in the midst of planning a trip to Bangalore in 2020, I would love to be in touch with you to know more upon the cost and etc. Thanks!

Team ClinicSpots replied

Hello Diana, We are assuming that you are aware of the procedure of forehead shortening surgery. The cost of the forehead shortening surgery would be something around Rs. 70,000. But this is not the exact price. Be ready for the hike as the surgery depends on many factors such as the number of procedures performed (brow-lift, frown-line reduction, forehead line smoothing, etc), the clinic, the experience of the surgeon, the tools needed for the surgery, the technology used, etc. The procedure takes around 1.5 to 2 hours to complete. You might have to stay in Bangalore for at least 6 days post-surgery. During this period, you will have the follow-up with the surgeon to check if everything is fine and the healing process is happening properly. Usually, after 5 to 6 days the sutures are removed. This is when you can get back home. So plan your journey accordingly. Hope our answer helps you.

Hello, We can surely guide you with all the details about Hair Transplant. Firstly, there are two ways to bring your hair back – Surgical Method and Non-Surgical Method. Surgical Methods 1. FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) – In this process, the hair transplant surgeon will begin by giving you local anaesthesia and start extracting the hair follicles from the donor area (back of the scalp) with the help of Neograft tool and implant it on the recipient area (bald region) with a small needle. This method is painless and will not leave back any scars. 2. FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) – In this process, a strip of skin bearing hair follicles is cut from the donor area. Later, the hair follicles are dissected under a microscope and the good hair follicles are implanted in the bald region. Further, the hair transplant surgeon will stitch the donor area from where he cut the strip. The only disadvantage of this method is that it leaves scar behind. 3. Robotic FUE – Robotic FUE is similar like FUE hair transplant. Just that the surgery is performed by the robot under the supervision of the hair transplant surgeon. 4. DHI (Direct Hair Implantation) – DHI is an advanced or modified version of FUE hair transplant in which extraction is followed by implantation simultaneously. Non- Surgical 1. PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) – In this process, the hair transplant doctor will extract blood from your body. It is then put into a centrifuge machine. Further, the machine rotates for 10 minutes and segregates the RBC’s, poor plasma and rich plasma. Later, the doctor will inject the rich plasma in the bald area. PRP can be clubbed with other surgical methods like FUE and FUT. 2. Medication – Medication like Minoxidil can also be consumed for hair restoration. Secondly, the cost of hair transplant depends on many factors: 1. Grafts required 2. Technique you choose 3. Level of Baldness 4. per sitting cost 5. Experience of the surgeon 6. Clinic (small or high-end clinic) The average cost of hair transplant in Bangalore will range from Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 1, 80,000. FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) hair transplant cost in Bangalore - Rs. 30 per graft to Rs. 45 per graft. FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) hair transplant cost in Bangalore - Rs. 25 per graft to Rs. 40 per graft. DHI hair transplant cost in Bangalore - Rs.50 per graft to Rs. 60 per graft. Robotic hair transplant cost in Bangalore - Rs. 65 per graft to Rs. 100 per graft. PRP hair treatment cost in Bangalore- Rs. 3000 to Rs. 15000 per session. Precautions 1. Wear a cap to avoid direct exposure to sunlight. 2. While massaging the scalp be very careful with the grafts. 3. Avoid consumption of alcohol and smoking until the completion of the hair transplant treatment. 4. Don’t perform stressful exercises. Recovery time After the hair transplant surgery after a few weeks, the transplanted hair will shed and new hair will start to grow after 2 to 3 months. It usually takes 1 year for the hair to grow fully. Hope our answer helps you.
