Could I be pregnant after taking i-pill and delayed periods?
I had my period on 7 january. On 12th january i had unprotected sex, but my partner didn't cum inside. i took ipill on 13 January. Again I got periods on 19 January. I haven't yet got periods on February. Is there any concern regarding pregnancy? or is it just delayed period?

There could be a delay in menstrual cycle because of many reasons like stress, hormonal problems and some medical conditions. Nevertheless, you had no protection thus pregnancy is always a possibility for you. A pregnancy test and a visit to the gynecologist will be necessary for proper evaluation. They help you in knowing what to do and also give medical advice.

I didn't get my periods for 2 months. It happened before also, so I took the regestrone tablet, can I take it again?
Dr. Swapna Chekuri

Answered on 24th Apr '24
Skipping periods for two months might seem normal, yet it signifies underlying issues. Stress, hormonal imbalances, or medical conditions could trigger this irregularity. Regestrone tablets may induce periods, but identifying the root cause is crucial. Consulting a gynecologist is wise, as they can diagnose and prescribe suitable treatment for regulating your menstrual cycle.

Why is my period lasting longer than usual?
The thing is I had an unprotected intercourse last month and a mistake actually happen and I ought to use postinor 2 for the first time to prevent any form of pregnancy. But after that my period did not flow well that month so I actually thought it's may be due to the drug so I waited the next month to see if there will be changes although it's doesn't flow much like before again but it's still better than the last period but the issues now is that am still seeing it after 5days which is my normal period length and it's going to like 8days now?

Your menstrual cycle seems different after Postinor 2. That's normal. The emergency pill can affect periods. You might bleed irregularly or your flow changes. It depends how your body reacts. If issues continue, talk to your doctor. Different people have varied responses to medicines.

Emergency contraception like Postinor 2 disrupts cycles. Period flow, duration? Different. Irregular bleeding normal after the pill. Stay calm, the body adjusts. The menstrual cycle settles eventually. Consult a gynecologist if you are concerned.

Sometimes people miss their periods after stopping birth control shots. That's normal. Your body adjusts. You might feel bloated too. Breast tenderness as the hormones get back in balance. Eat good foods, work out, chill. If three months pass without a period, see a gynecologist.

Changes in periods happen. Less heavy flow, clots, spotting is quite typical. Your 4-day period seems normal, not a pregnancy sign. Stress, hormones, and new eating habits cause shifts. But if other weird stuff pops up or worries arise, don't hesitate - check in with a gynecologist.

Missing your period might indicate pregnancy, but numerous factors contribute to this occurrence. Stress, significant weight fluctuations, or hormonal imbalances can also disrupt menstrual cycles. Women's cycles can get thrown off occasionally - sex is rarely the only factor. Perhaps your wife's body is running late this month. Stress, trips, weight fluctuations, or hormone imbalances could be delaying her period too. If she isn't pregnant and it keeps being late, it's wise to see a gynecologist and get checked out just to be safe.

Feeling uncomfortable in your stomach and experiencing nausea doesn't always signify pregnancy. It's good you're using Depo as birth control. The hardness could result from bloating or muscle tightness. Stress and diet changes sometimes cause these symptoms too. If it continues, consider consulting a gynecologist.

How Should I Use Plan B Tablet?
How a plan B tablet should be used ?
Dr. Himali Patel

These pills stop an egg from being released by the ovaries. They must be taken quickly after unprotected intercourse. Plan B doesn't work if you're already pregnant. If you feel anything unusual after taking it, talk to a gynecologist.
