Hello, In vitro fertilization (IVF) is a process where the eggs are fertilized outside the body. During this procedure, the woman is given medications so that she can produce several eggs that are extracted when they are mature and combined with the sperm sample given by her partner. If the eggs are fertilized by the sperm, they are kept in a special incubator to develop for three to five days. The fertilized eggs are called embryos. These embryos are then transferred to the uterus. The cost of IVF in Hyderabad is approximately Rs. 100000 to Rs. 250000. Hope our answer helps you. Have you checked the AMH level of yourself, and also the antral follicle count in Sonography?

Hsg is not the absolute report, probability of it being right is 60% since the patient is conscious and the procedure itself is painful, thus the report can falsely show positive/negative indication. The true status of the tube is better assessed by a diagnostic hysterolaparoscopy, wherein we put a telescope in your abdomen.

If in any doubt, then approach doctors from this page - Ivf doctors in India, or you can seek help from me too.

Hello Ritu, To undergo IVF treatment after 40 will generally, be dependent on your own specific circumstances. By mentioning specific circumstances, I am considering both your fertility and medical history. The IVF doctor might ask you to get a few tests done to understand the exact reason for not conceiving naturally. If he recommends IVF then the process will be as follows:

  • IVF Treatment: In a standard cycle of IVF, you will have to take medication for 7-10 days to stimulate your ovaries to grow and also mature multiple egg follicles. Under anesthesia, the eggs will be retrieved and then they will be combined with the sperms of your partner. They will be left overnight for fertilization to take place. If the eggs are fertilized then the resultant embryo will be transferred to your uterus after 3 to 5 days. And after around two weeks you will have to undergo a pregnancy test to verify whether you have conceived or not.
You can read our blog if you wish to understand IVF success rate, IVF process step by step, and requirements for IVF - In Vitro Fertilization.

Hello, Yes, IVF does deliver successful result in males with infertility problems. However, the fertility doctor will use the method of ICSI (Intracytoplasmic sperm injection) to fertilize the egg. In this method, a single sperm is directly injected into the egg. ICSI is used in the following cases:

  1. Your sperm count is less
  2. The sperm has poor motility (Does not move normally)
  3. The shape of the sperm is abnormal (Poor morphology)
  4. The sperm may have to be collected surgically due to a blockage in the male reproductive tract
  5. or if you have undergone a vasectomy.

Hello, You can definitely think of IVF but sperm washing will be required in your case. It is very helpful to understand that sperm washing will reduce the risk but is not a risk-free method as technically, the virus could still be present in the washed sample at a titer below the detection limit of the HIV assay. So consult an HIV specialist to understand the technical details, our page may help you find trustworthy & credible doctors - Hiv Treatment doctors in Mumbai. Hope our answer helps you.
