Liver cancer in the 3rd stage can be challenging, but there is still hope with surgical removal of the 4cm tumor. Survival chances depend on many factors, including the success of the surgery and his overall health. Consukt the best hospitals for the treatment.

As per my understanding the patient is suffering from pancreatic cancer and now it has metastasized to liver and you want to know about the treatment. It seems the patient id suffering from stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Any cancer stage 4 does not have a good prognosis.

Treatment of cancer to a great extent depends on type of cancer, stage of Cancer, location of the cancer, general condition of patient, associated comorbidities and weighing benefits over risk. So considering these factors doctor will advise the treatment. Consult oncologists. Hope our answer helps you.

If you have a donor (family member) then only you can only proceed with liver transplant. The cost of liver transplant in India would be approximately 35,000 USD (2,500,000 INR) and the cost of Surgical Resection can be approximately 3,500 USD (250,000 INR).

Hello Issac, you have posed a very important question about what will be services to help a patient who is not native to India.

There are two types of hospitals:

  • Government Hospitals: They will provide free/ affordable treatment but WILL NOT provided you with any other services which you are expecting.
  • Private Hospitals: They will provide good quality treatment which would cost a bit. These hospitals cater to the needs of International patients and WILL provide the following services:
    • Medical Visa Assistance
    • Airport Pick Up/Drop
    • Accommodation
    • Currency Exchange
    • SIM Card
    • Language Translators

You can find hospitals on our page - Liver Cancer Treatment Hospitals in India.

As per my understanding, pancreatic and liver cancer at stage 3 level has poor prognosis. This patient will need multidisciplinary approach. Palliative care with counseling is of utmost importance. Please consult an oncologist for help. Immunotherapy, targeted drug therapy is also considered nowadays. But it all depends on patient's general condition. Refer this page to find specialists who will treat the patient - Best Oncologist In India. Hope our answer helps you.
