A young boy from Nagpur has undergone a successful bone marrow transplant (BMT) at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital (KDAH) after being diagnosed with a rare blood disorder at the age of four months.
Prior to the transplant, the boy had to undergo regular blood transfusions, which unfortunately resulted in him contracting HIV. The team of doctors at KDAH were able to carefully manage the boy's medical needs, including the management of his HIV infection, during the transplant process.
