Should I Have a Neurosurgeon Perform Achilles Tendon Surgery in Tanzania?
I am located in Tanzania. I have ruptured my Achilles tendon. I know I need to have surgery. My concern is I have no feeling in the bottom of my foot, the doctors here want to do the tendon surgery and are saying the damaged nerves may repair themselves. I don't know if that is true or if I should have a neurosurgeon do the surgery.

The nerves that are damaged could heal by themselves with time but it is advisable to seek guidance from a specialist on how best to handle this situation. If you don't want to go ahead with surgery, have a second opinion from a neurosurgeon and based on that take the decision right for you.
