Questions & Answers on "Pituitary Diseases" (47)

I am 40 year old daibitic hbaic is 6 average sugar 160 hemoglobin is 17.2 I feel weaknes in body and pain in hand joints

Male | 40

You may be experiencing symptoms of a condition known as diabetic neuropathy. What happens is if your nerves are destroyed by the overdose of sugar in your blood then it may cause pain in the blood and weakness in the body. Diabetes can cause pain in your joints. But you can control your diabetes to improve your health and doing so would prevent many other diseases. Stick to your medication schedule, learn how to balance your diet, and make an exercise routine that you are going to stick to.

Sugar level 154 is this diabetes or not

Male | 42

A sugar level of 154 might mean diabetes, but it's not definite. Diabetes can cause increased thirst, frequent urination, tiredness, and blurry vision. The causes include genetics, unhealthy eating, and lack of exercise. To know for sure, it's wise to see a healthcare provider. They may recommend a blood test and suggest lifestyle changes or medication.

I'm very skinny. I eat a lot but still I don't gain any weight

Male | 16

One potential reason is that you have a fast metabolism. Your body burns through calories very quickly, which can make it difficult for some people to gain weight. Other potential causes may include hyperthyroidism or problems with malabsorption. You should consult with a dietitian or nutritionist who will assist in creating a meal plan that helps increase your calorie intake healthily.

triglyceride level all time between 240 to 300. It does not matter what I am eating. I followed strict diet but still result same. What I have to do?

Male | 26

If your triglycerides are regularly from 240 to 300, that’s high. Usually, too many triglycerides mean you don’t eat well (like junk food all the time) and you don’t do exercise. But sometimes, it can come from your family. Rarely have symptoms but maybe sometimes hurt your stomach or give you pancreatitis. Eat the right things more, exercise, and don’t smoke or drink so much if you want lower levels.
