6 months post stem cell transplant what to expect?

Answered on 17th Jan '24

Gradual recovery and improved immune function can be observed about six months post-stem cell transplant. Most transplant-related side effects should wear off, and your energy might improve too. Regular sessions with your medical care team will keep track of progress and you can possibly resume activities to normal levels. Individual recovery can often differ and the guidance from your Doctor for further care and modifications to your lifestyle should not be neglected.

It may 6 months to 1 year to completely recover the immune system after the stem cell transplantation. There are very less chances that any medicine reaction can happen. However, it changes according to patient’s condition.
