If ear is blocked, what should we do?

If the ear blockage is prevalent due to mucus trapped in the middle of the ear, then try this trick - take a deep breath and block your nostrils following that, simultaneously, keep your mouth closed as well, then unblock your nostrils and attempt to exhale. This should create some pressure to unclog the ear. Don’t blow too hard to avoid damaging your eardrum. Once you feel unclogging, chew a gum or suck on hard a candy so as to keep it opened.
Steaming, or placing warm wash cloth over your ears can help too.
You can use ear drops as well, for blockage caused due to mucus or even for that caused due to ear wax.
If this problem persists even after a week then contact doctor, do not ignore this problem as it could be some ear infection, or acoustic neuroma as well.
Acoustic neuroma is slow growing tumor found in cranial nerve leading from ears to brain.
This list may prove to be helpful if at all there is some underlying cause which cannot go away on its own - Ear-Nose-Throat (Ent) Specialists in Mumbai, if you let us know your location then we will provide another list, and do keep us in the loop for whenever you would feel confused.

You should see your doctor if the dizziness recurs constantly, or if you experience severe, prolonged and unexplained dizziness. You should especially visit a ENT specialist if one or multiple symptoms from the following accompany your dizziness:
- headache, double vision or loss of vision, loss in hearing, trouble speaking, weakness in leg or arm, loss of consciousness, falling or difficulty walking, and numbness or tingling. To know more you can avail consultation services from Vertigo Treatment doctors in Mumbai, or any other city based on your preferences.
