Want to know do you need to to have surgery to remove fibroids to become pregnant or can you get pregnant even with fibroids
Dr. Swapna Chekuri

Answered on 10th Apr '23
Having fibroids does not mean that a you cannot get pregnant, as many women with fibroids are able to conceive and have successful pregnancies. But fibroids can sometimes interfere with pregnancy if they are located in certain areas of the uterus or if they are very large. Only if the fibriods are causing certain symptoms then surgery to remove the fibroids is recommended.

If you missed your period and are worried about being pregnant, the best thing to do is to take a home pregnancy test to confirm whether or not you are pregnant. These tests can give you a reliable answer within a few minutes. Even stress or some other hormonal or health issue can cause a delay in your period. Kindly check with a gynec.

menstrual cycles do vary slightly from month to month & changes in the timing or length of periods is due to stress, hormonal imbalances, or other health conditions. I had a really strange blood clot that had some blood and grey tissue, I am scared that I was pregnant and then started taking the birth control and did not know. I had nausea, and tender breasts prior. I am scared I had a miscarriage . I am worried its a decidual cast but there was a small sac like thing with 2 transparent dots. I am still nauseas, have a mild headache, cramps and bleeding. After the clot was released, the bleeding and cramping slowed down a lot.

It's difficult to determine the cause of the blood clot without a proper medical checkup. It's possible It could be a decidual cast, from the uterus during menstruation or after pregnancy. It's also possible that it could be a sign of a miscarriage or another medical condition. I suggest get it checked as soon as possible to determine the cause of your symptoms and get appropriate treatment.

It can be a sign of a vaginal infection, could be bacterial vaginosis or a yeast infection. It occurs due to an imbalance of bacteria or yeast in the vagina, and can cause discomfort, itching, or burning in some cases. I recommend you to get an accurate diagnosis and treatment. Your doctor may give medications like antibiotics or antifungal medication, depending on the cause of the discharge.

After years of having sex, suddenly Everytime I try to during intercourse I get a very strong burning sensation and can’t continue. It’s been a year now with the same exact thing.. I don’t have ANY other symptoms. I just want to know why I can’t have intercourse anymore? Thank you

It's possible that you may be experiencing a condition called dyspareunia, which is pain or discomfort during intercourse. It happens due to vaginal dryness, infections or hormonal changes. It could also be a vaginal infection, such as yeast infection or bacterial vaginosis, which can cause inflammation and irritation in the vaginal area. Even stress or anxiety or certain medications can cause irritation. Just consult with an obstetrician/gynecologist or a urologist, to properly diagnose and treat your symptoms. This can be treated with medications, hormone therapy, or physical therapy.
