Hello, You can definitely think of IVF but sperm washing will be required in your case. It is very helpful to understand that sperm washing will reduce the risk but is not a risk-free method as technically, the virus could still be present in the washed sample at a titer below the detection limit of the HIV assay. So consult an HIV specialist to understand the technical details, our page may help you find trustworthy & credible doctors - Hiv Treatment doctors in Mumbai. Hope our answer helps you.

My mother-in-law whose age is 49 years is suffering from jaundice for the last 1 month (bilirubin level is 20.8). The doctor has diagnosed it as a malignant neoplasm of the Gallbladder (according to other doctors hepatobiliary CA). Is this curable with surgery or medication? Please Suggest.

Hello Avijit, Hepatobiliary CA needs a multidisciplinary approach. The prognosis in such cases is not good. Treatment plan mainly depends on the extent (stage) of the disease, Investigations include Blood tests, Imaging tests, liver biopsy. After all the parameters being considered a medical treatment like Radiation therapy, Targeted drug therapy, Immunotherapy, Chemotherapy and if needed surgery will be decided. We advise you to consult an oncologist as only after clinically examining the patient, the doctor can guide you further. Wish your mother-in-law a speedy recovery. Hope our answer helps you. Hello, my grandfather aged above 70 years is diagnosed with lung cancer in the 4th stage. We are looking for treatment other than chemo. Will immunotherapy help him to recover? He is a heart and diabetic patient. Is it possible to cure him?

Hello Tanisha, As per our understanding, your grandfather is suffering from advanced lung cancer. Immunotherapy is considered nowadays. Checkpoint immunotherapy is approved for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). But not all patients respond to immunotherapy. You consult an oncologist. Only after clinical evaluation, he will be able to guide you. Also, age and associated illnesses are to be taken into consideration. Wish your grandfather a speedy recovery. Hi, my name is Sateesh. I am 19 years old studying for Graduation. I work out most of the time. I had pain in the back one morning near the left side of the neck. Numbness all over the body, weakness in hands and legs, coldness under the foot, etc. We went to the hospital to consult a Neurosurgeon. He took an MRI test and said this condition is cervical transverse myelitis. Doctors have given steroids and antibiotics for a week. Now my legs are fine but hands are not working properly, tightness of abdominal, shaking of hands, muscle weakness, my hand fingers are not working properly. Please guide me on what treatment should I take up?

Answered on 17th July '21

Hello, Transverse myelitis is an inflammation on both sides of one section of the spinal cord (in your case it is cervical). This neurological disorder damages the insulating material of the nerve fibres which results in interruption of the nerve conduction system. Usually, recovery begins from two to twelve weeks of the first onset of symptoms and may continue up to two years. In case, if there is no improvement in symptoms within several months then the recovery is difficult. About one-third of these patients show partial or full recovery. However, take a second opinion from a neurologist. Don't lose hope. Regular treatment will be of help. Hope our answer helps you. You can refer our page to find neurologists who can give additional information and second opinions - Best Neurologist in India.

Mare face pe pimple hai aur face colour sun se burn huwa hai

Answered on 17th July '21

Dear ma'am, sun burn is different from sun tan. If you have sun burn then it will count as skin damage but will also go away on its own in most cases, you would need expert attention only if those burns led to blisters, became swollen, caused you a fever and feeling of excessive burning, made you feel dizzy, sick, or tired, and if it also induced a headache or muscle cramps as a result of sun exposure. Sun burn in all cases will make your skin red. Sun tan is different however, no matter how undesirable its appearance is, it still does not count as damaged skin, it's just your skin changing its color to protect you from the heat of sun, it doesn't sting or cause other symptoms. Since tan is not appealing to most people, therefore there are treatments available to reduce it as well, such as laser toning, chemical peel, microdermabrasion, and creams/other products. A skin care specialist will have a better idea about the state of your skin and will most probably point towards treatments which will give best results. Since people tend to use such terms interchangeably therefore making a distinction is important, but otherwise we hope that we could help. If you want you can refer our page - Skin Care doctors in Mumbai, or that of any other city, to get in touch with the experts.

You can start using Minoxidil, it is an over the counter drug which comes in the form of liquid, foam or shampoo, it is to be applied on scalp twice regularly for men. It will take months for you to be able to tell any difference, and if it does then you can continue using it. Possible side effects include scalp irritation and growth of hair on unwanted regions such as adjacent skin of the face as well as hands. If this doesn't works then dermatologists would have stronger medicated treatments & better lifestyle hacks for you to follow through, and will eventually progress to surgery if even those treatments don't give results. Hello! As an answer to your question, you can get a hair transplant done. This is because age is not a factor and all that matters is your health. As you have asked for the cost of hair transplant, it all depends on the baldness level and the techniques used. There are 7 levels of Baldness ranging from Level 1 to Level 7. The higher the level of baldness, the more hair grafts you will require for hair transplant. Depending on the number of grafts a technique would be decided for your hair transplant procedure. Given that the closest metropolitan city to you is Hyderabad, there are 2 commonly used techniques for Hair Transplant: 1. Follicle Unit Transplant (FUT): For 1000 grafts the cost is Rs.35,000 to Rs. 45,000 for 1 sitting (4 to 6 hours) and for 3000 grafts the cost is 80,000 to 110,000 for 2 to 3 sittings. 2. Follicle Unit Extraction (FUE): For 1000 grafts the cost is Rs.50,000 to Rs. 60,000 for 1 sitting (4 to 6 hours) and for 3000 grafts the cost is 150,000 to 180,000 for 1 to 2 sittings. Hope our answer has satisfied your question. We are also linking you to our page where you will find relevant experts who will help you with the treatment - Hair Transplant Surgeons in Hyderabad.
