My father, aged 69 years has swelling in his both legs since past few years! We consulted doctors but they said his one leg will have little swelling forever and treated the other leg by giving injections to clear blockage in veins. But still it is ineffective. Can you please suggest which specialist to consult for this problem?

The swelling can be due to many reasons in the leg, if vein clotting is the problem then use of compression stockings and walking exercise will help to reduce the swelling. if there are other reasons then it needs to be check and appropriate treatment can be given.
