Dear Sir, I have been suffering from vitiligo for more than 5 years. In the beginning, it was spreading less. but now it is spreading fast. My question is how will it be controlled?
Male | 38
Vitiligo causes loss of pigment resulting in white patches on the skin and there is no cure for vitiligo, there are treatment options to control its spread and improve its appearance. Consult a dermat to get it checked.

Hi, I had sclerotherapy done on Wednesday last week. My veins look a lot worse, they as re purple and more visible, there is no brusing and they are also quite sore to the touch/I can feel tiredness in my legs. My doctor said I may have had an allergic reaction to the therapy because I am on holiday in a hot country (Brazil) and prescribed me an antihistamine. Will the veins eventually fade or will I need more treatment?
Female | 28
Bruising and discomfort after sclerotherapy are natural which normally resolves within a few days. But since you said your veins look worse and are more visible after the procedure could indicate a complication. It's good that you have already spoken with your doctor, but still experiencing discomfort or have any concerns, follow up with them promptly.
In some cases the veins may fade on their own over time, but if the issue is related to the sclerotherapy procedure, additional treatment can be needed. Its best to follow up with your doctor to discuss your options and determine the best treatment.

I am 28 yo female and recently got sclerotherapy done on both legs (last Wednesday so it has been over a week). My veins have gotten worse, they are purple and more visible and quite sensitive to the touch. There is no bruising. My dermatologist said I may have had an allergic reaction to the treatment and suggested I get antihistamines. Will the veins subside?
Female | 28
Veins do appear more visible naturally after sclerotherapy treatment, but they usually improve over time as the body reabsorbs the treated veins. Its best to discuss your concerns with your dermatologist and follow the recommended treatment. Avoid prolonged sitting or standing and to wear compression stockings as recommended to decrease swelling and heal faster.
