Should I Take Omega 3 for Heart Health?
Patient's Query
I did my health checkup and found that I am at risk of developing a coronary heart disease due to fat deposit in the heart vessels. What should I do? I searched on Google and found that Omega 3 helps in reducing bad cholesterol. Should I take Omega 3 suppliment?
Answered by Dr. Bhaskar Semitha
The two main symptoms of heart disease are chest pain and shortness of breath. The reasons for this condition include consuming a poor diet, being inactive, and smoking. Of course, Omega 3 is a great supplement to reduce bad cholesterol levels. It's good to consult with a cardiologist before starting new supplements to make sure you are safe.
