Should I Worry About Severe Palpitations?
Patient's Query
حتماً، متن کامل انگلیسی با اطلاعات اضافی و سوالات شما به این شکل خواهد بود: Hello, good day. I am a 33-year-old woman. I have been taking Slim Plus for three weeks. Five days ago, on a day when I was feeling unwell and very stressed, I experienced severe palpitations for the first three days. The palpitations were very intense and lasted for a long time—almost 11–12 hours per day. I also had mild, occasional chest discomfort and, during walking, even experienced significant shortness of breath. Since two days ago, after stopping the medication, I have improved and the palpitations have decreased, but they have not completely stopped. They still start suddenly and without any apparent reason. My blood tests were normal. Additionally, my mother had a stroke at the age of 60 and underwent angioplasty at the age of 63. I have two questions: How serious and dangerous is this situation? If I improve and the symptoms disappear, do I still need to follow up or get checked? I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide a response.

Firstly, it's positive that your symptoms have improved since discontinuing Slim Plus. Palpitations can be caused by various factors like stress, medication side effects, or underlying heart issues. Given your family history of stroke, it's wise to be vigilant. I recommend scheduling a follow-up with a cardiologist. They can assess your heart health, possibly with an ECG or a Holter monitor, to ensure everything is okay.
