The swelling can be due to many reasons in the leg, if vein clotting is the problem then use of compression stockings and walking exercise will help to reduce the swelling. if there are other reasons then it needs to be check and appropriate treatment can be given.

Hyperechoic thromboembolus is seen at mid and distal part of brachial artery (before bifurcation) No flow on Doppler, s/o significant block Hypoechoic thormboembolus is seen in proximal part of ulnar artery.
