I am a 24 years boy and I have acne type skin issue first time
Male | 24
Don’t worry, lots of people get acne. Signs of acne include red spots, blackheads, and whiteheads on your face. Things that might cause it are hormones, greasy skin, and bacteria. You can try washing your face gently twice a day with a soapless cleanser, not touching zits, and using only oil-free products. If this bothers you then maybe talk to a dermatologist.

I am a 39 year old woman and am having an issue with my skin on my chin for the last 2 weeks. After friction from making out with someone new. He did not have a beard. Maybe slight stubble but really not noticeable. My skin became raw and I put Vaseline on it and neosporin. After about a week acne started appearing. I changed my regimen to a salicylic acid ointment and moisturizer. It seems to help a bit but not a lot. My skin is less raw but still splotchy and red with acne. I have not ever struggled with skin issues. Should I keep up the acne treatment? Should I do something else? It peels and is uncomfortable (it stings with the ointment but once it dries it doesn’t hurt but it does bother me). I’m traveling in Brazil now but am from the US. Any help appreciated before I head home! I plan to see a dermatologist PA when I get back.
Female | 39
Your skin seems irritated by friction. The rawness, redness, and acne result from that. Using salicylic acid ointment helps acne. Continue applying it. Gently wash your skin, moisturize too. Consult a dermatologist for guidance.

Red spots on private parts has yellow on them
Male | 23
Red spots with yellowing on sensitive areas may indicate an infection or irritation, such as folliculitis or a yeast infection. These symptoms can arise from various factors, including friction, poor hygiene, or skin conditions. To help soothe the area, maintain good hygiene and avoid irritants. Over-the-counter creams may offer relief, but it is essential to monitor the condition. If these signs persist or worsen, I strongly recommend consulting a dermatologist for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment.

Hello I need get check my genaitals I got two bumps there they don’t hurt but I need to check what is it
Male | 30
The bumps could be caused by a few things, such as ingrown hairs, blocked sweat glands, or even a skin condition like molluscum contagiosum. But, most of the time these things are harmless and easily treatable. Here's what I recommend: try to avoid squeezing or picking at the bumps, keep the area clean and dry, and wear loose-fitting clothes. It's best to have a dermatologist take a look just to be sure. He can give you a proper diagnosis and recommend the best course of action.

Over hair fall, oily scalp , hair not growing
Female | 17
Experiencing excessive hair loss, along with an oily scalp and slow growth, often indicates an imbalance in oil production and possible underlying issues. Common causes include hormonal changes, stress, or inadequate nutrition. To support healthier hair, consider adopting a balanced diet rich in vitamins, using a gentle shampoo to manage oiliness, and practicing regular scalp massages to enhance blood circulation. Staying hydrated is also vital. If these changes don't help after a few weeks, please consult a dermatologist to explore further evaluation and targeted treatments.

I have this white patches like something in my inner thighs. Like near my private part. It's not very smooth but kind of smooth and itchy. It seems like it's spreading
Female | 19
The symptoms are smooth, white patches, as well as itchy. It is caused by a yeast growing on the skin. For that reason, you can get medicine that is not prescribed that eradicates fungi on the skin. Keep the place clean and dry. Try not to share personal items with other people. Make sure the area is kept clean so as not to cause an infection to others.

I have a sensitive skin and an oily face. The products I use always give me skin problems like skin rashes, dark spots and pigmentation. I have a hot caramel skin. I want to know the best products for my skin
Female | 18
You may have some skin issues that can be tough to deal with. If your skin is sensitive and oily, try using mild products without perfumes. Possibly, dark spots, skin rashes and pigmentation could occur due to irritation caused by harsh components in the product you are using. Go for products labeled as non-comedogenic so that they do not block the pores on your face. Also, look for ingredients like niacinamide or hyaluronic acid that will help calm down and moisturize your skin. Always do a patch test before applying any new product to prevent unexpected reactions.

I'm a 18 year old female and have comedones on my face. I tried using Glyco-6 cream and it increased very much at certain part of my face, on my chin. What am I supposed to do?
Female | 18
Comedones, which are often blackheads or whiteheads, can occur due to excess oil and dead skin cells clogging pores. It's not uncommon for certain products to initially worsen breakouts before improvement occurs. To manage this, consider gentle exfoliation and non-comedogenic products. Additionally, switching to a different treatment may help if your skin reacts negatively. It’s advisable to consult a dermatologist who can assess your skin type and recommend appropriate, tailored options.

I had spot on forehead since I had my op ten weeks...and it really itchy I know I haven't got scabs or whatever...but it really really itchy
Female | 44
You are having an itchy sensation around that area on your forehead where the surgery was performed ten weeks ago. This can occur as the body continues its healing process and the nerves in that area start functioning again. Itching can also be a normal part of the healing process. To treat the itchiness, you can try using a gentle moisturizer on the area. Do not scratch it, as this can aggravate the situation. If the itching does not go away or intensifies, it is best to consult a dermatologist to ensure that your healing process is going well.

I am 18 years old teenager and I want to remove tanning from my whole body and I also want to reduce the melanin secretion in my body ..so please prefer me best kojic acid soap for daily use
Male | 18
Tanning is produced by the skin when it absorbs more sunlight. This is the process that involves melanin, a protein that protects the skin. To decrease tanning and melanin, try a kojic acid soap. This soap can decrease the melanin in your skin and thus brighten your skin's color. For best results, use it daily.

My skin tone has become very dark no glow on face and After sometime I am getting married and I want to make the skin a beautiful glowing So please suggest me what treatment should I do.
Female | 28
Achieving a beautiful, glowing skin tone before your wedding involves a combination of skincare and lifestyle practices. Consider incorporating the following steps:
Hydrate: Drink plenty of water to keep your skin well-hydrated, which contributes to a natural glow.
Skincare Routine: Follow a consistent skincare routine that includes cleansing, toning, moisturizing, and sun protection. Consider using products with ingredients like vitamin C for brightening effects.
Chemical Peels: Consult with a dermatologist about chemical peels. These treatments can help remove dead skin cells, improve skin texture, and promote a radiant complexion.
Microdermabrasion: This exfoliation technique can contribute to smoother and more luminous skin by removing the top layer of dead skin cells.
Healthy Diet: Consume a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and antioxidants. These nutrients support overall skin health.
Avoid Sun Damage: Protect your skin from harmful UV rays by using sunscreen with adequate SPF. Sun exposure can contribute to darkening of the skin.
Before considering any treatments, consult with a dermatologist who can assess your skin type and recommend personalized solutions.

Hi, is it ok to stop clarithromycin after 6 days of taking it? twice a day 500mg , and nothing improved, I was told to take it for 10 days.
Female | 39
If you have been on clarithromycin for six days and still do not feel any better, it is essential to continue your treatment plan. Typically, bacterial infections require the use of an entire course of antibiotics to eliminate the germs. Early stopping can result in the infection coming back stronger. Give it some more time and keep taking the medication as prescribed to help your body heal. If you're still not seeing any improvements after the full 10 days, it might be a good idea to talk to your dermatologist to discuss the next steps.

I've a skin like cauliflower and pink colour behind my ear for an year
Male | 16
Skin that looks like cauliflower and pink behind your ear for a year must be quite concerning. This could be due to a few things. One possibility is a condition called seborrheic keratosis, which can cause skin growths with a warty appearance. Another possibility could be an eczema flare-up, which can cause redness and scaling of the skin. I recommend scheduling an appointment with a dermatologist who can evaluate the area and provide you with the appropriate treatment.
