Questions & Answers on "Eye" (201)

I’m wondering if eyeglasses are needed while my right eye is 20/30 and my left eye is 20/25, but both are 20/20 and my right eye suffers from recurrent corneal erosion.

Male | 27

Both your eyes are mostly fine. A corneal erosion can be dangerous and cause pain and sensitivity to light. Even if you have perfect eyesight, you may need to wear special glasses that will protect your eye from an even greater injury. These glasses can be used to stop more erosions from happening.

I'm a 23 year old female. I am overweight. I'm starting to have vision issues. Is this possibility weight related?

Female | 23

Being overweight can sometimes result in vision problems, particularly if it causes a condition known as diabetic retinopathy. The symptoms may include seeing floaters, blurriness, or having trouble seeing at night. Shedding pounds and stabilizing blood sugar levels can assist in rectifying such vision problems.

It's understandable to be concerned after your brother's eye procedures. The hazy vision he's experiencing can sometimes occur after lens surgery, especially with recent interventions. Since it’s normal to have some discomfort post-operation, it’s important to monitor his symptoms. If there are no signs of infection, the eye should heal well. The follow-up appointment will determine if the new lens will help restore his vision. Encourage him to maintain open communication with his eye specialist for the best guidance and reassurance.

Hello, I am 42 years old, I have got eye dryness and excess tearing problem, though I got this treatment but couldn't improve.

Male | 42

Your condition could be caused by allergies or medications.. Consult an ophthalmologist to determine the root cause. Apply warm compresses and avoid certain environments. Artificial tears or gels can also alleviate dryness . But don't go for self treatment, contact a specialized earliest
