Questions & Answers on "Gastroenterology" (1491)

I got into a fight and was suffocating under someone's weight when I coughed up blood. After which, I ingested some harpic and it hurts my chest and near my stomach to swallow anything at all. This was 2 days ago. I weigh 60 kgs. I also get blurry vision sometimes although I'm unsure if its the trauma to my head or harpic.

Female | 17

You might have serious internal injuries. If you cough up any blood, have chest pain or trouble swallowing, or cannot see clearly, you should be concerned. Ingesting Harpic might have hurt your esophagus and stomach even more. Internal bleeding or other complications could be why these symptoms are occurring; therefore it is vital that you seek immediate medical attention.

I feel vomit and stomachache when eating Bp low an shiver at night Weakness Loss appetite

Male | 21

You might have a stomach bug. Feeling nauseous, abdominal pain, low blood pressure, night chills, fatigue, or lack of appetite indicate this. A virus likely causes it. Rest, stay hydrated, eat plain foods like toast or crackers to settle your stomach. If no improvement in a few days, seek medical help.

Sir Yesterday I was sitting and enjoyed some snacks.suddenly I felt uncomfortable my chest was shivering and full body get sweaty.i go near fan and relaxed for a while. But in morning I feel inadequate sleep not feeling well vertigo.

Male | 38

You may have some signs of indigestion, which is the result of gastritis when your stomach is having a difficult time digesting food. This may occur when you are eating fast or spicy food, which causes this. The chest shivering and sweaty sensation may be connected with your stomach feeling uncomfortable. Please try to eat less and don't keep away from spicy food.

Unchanged background of scattered tree-in-bud nodularity seen most prominently in the bilateral lower lobes. Findings are likely due to sequela of low volume aspiration given mildly patulous appearance of the esophagus, concerning for esophageal dysmotility/chronic reflux. Clinical correlation and further evaluation with fluoroscopic guided esophagram may be considered. If patient's symptoms persist or worsen, consider repeat CT chest in 3 to 6 months to further evaluate. No new suspicious pulmonary nodularity or pathologic intrathoracic lymphadenopathy appreciated.

Male | 43

By analyzing the scan results, the doctors found that there are small clusters in the lungs which can be a sign of possible aspiration. This could be because of the problems with the functioning of the esophagus, which may be related to chronic reflux. To be sure, a test called an esophagram could provide more insights. If symptoms continue, another scan in a few months could help track any changes.

Hi.Almost 17 days ago I drink my syrup when I drink one spoon I notice that there was some broken glass pieces, very tiny like sugar.i don't know o swallow some or not but I am really worried now what should I have to do now ?

Female | 25

Swallowing broken glass pieces is scary. Small amounts might pass without causing harm, but they could still scratch your throat or stomach. If you're feeling fine, eating soft foods and drinking plenty of water may help it pass safely. However, if you experience pain, vomiting, bleeding, or difficulty swallowing, seek medical care immediately.

I had eaten an entire pack of JIM-JAM biscuits the previous night and had slept up-side-down (on my belly) for the entire night. The immediate next morning I had an intense ( very very painful ) stomach pain. And it persisted for that entire day until I took antibiotics and painkillers from my doctor.

Male | 20

Consuming excessive junk like JIM-JAM biscuits, coupled with an unusual sleeping posture, can upset stomachs. This combination probably caused your intense abdominal pain. Antibiotics and painkillers can help by reducing inflammation. To prevent recurrence, eat healthier foods and ensure comfortable sleeping positions.
