34years male I have been diagnosed with mild phylonepritis and uti it's been more than months taken antibiotics courses but still having mild to mild pain on left side and having lower back pain too . What to do
Male | 34
The left side and lower back pain you are feeling could be linked to infections. Occasionally, these infections develop resistance and need more care. It's essential to drink a sufficient amount of fluids and rest, as well as keep seeing your nephrologist to ensure everything is fine and to determine if a change of treatment is needed.

Hi doctor....I have 2-3 small simple kidney cysts on right kidney....left has no cysts....I am just 39....how common it is....and the largest cyst measure 15mm*11mm
Female | 39
Kidney cysts are like small fluid-filled sacs that can develop on the surface of the kidneys. In fact, many people have them without even knowing it because they often don't cause symptoms. The fact that your left kidney is cyst-free is a good sign. As for the size of the largest cyst, 15mm*11mm is considered small and generally not a cause for worry. I'd recommend keeping an eye on them with periodic check-ups to ensure they're not growing or causing any issues. If you experience any new symptoms like pain or changes in urination, schedule an appointment with urologist for further guidance.

5mm stone left renal calculus and there is hard pain in kidney
Male | 25
A 5mm kidney stone in your left side can cause severe pain. Urine minerals gather and create the stone. Intense, stabbing pain may spread to your back or abdomen. Drink lots of water to help flush out the stone. Your nephrologist might give medicine to ease pain and help the stone pass more easily. In some cases, they may do a procedure to break up or remove the stone. Follow your doctor's advice carefully to manage the pain and get rid of that stone.

Diabetes type 1 and chronic kidney disease make a challenging combo. Kidneys can get damaged by diabetes over time. Sir I am facing swelling in kidney area what could be the reason for it?
Female | 16
The question of whether your kidneys are swollen should be considered. Symptoms can vary, including a sensation of stomach bloating or difficulty urinating. It is reasonable to suspect a kidney infection might be the cause. Therefore, drink plenty of water and consult a nephrologist. The doctor may prescribe medications or other treatments.

The patient have diagnosed with chronic kidney disease and has been experiencing bloating of body and milky white color urine
Female | 52
Unpleasantly, finding swelling and discolored urine can be scary, mostly with continuing kidney disease. The blame for fluid retention or alteration of kidney tasks can be the reason for these symptoms. It’s very important, therefore, to always take enough fluid, be moderate salt, and eat a balanced diet. In connection with what has been noted above, it must be emphasized that other ALDs should be taken into consideration and the need for closer scrutiny must be communicated to your healthcare provider.

I am 72 years.recenly kidney function test blood report I found my creatinine level is 1.61 and egfr is 43.i do not have any kidney problem as such.In 2019 I undergone angioplasty in Jupiter hospital.and that time my creatinine level was 1.6 and you had given me the medicine Reno save and the level came down
Male | 72
Your creatinine level is a bit above normal and your eGFR is a bit below normal. These are not a big deal and can occur due to age or some health problems in the past like angioplasty. It may not be visible in the beginning. Thus, living a healthy lifestyle such as eating well, drinking enough water, and making regular doctor visits can greatly assist your kidneys.

I am 66 years old. Known case of ESRD on heamodialysis 3 times for the last 5 months. H/O htn on medication for the last 9ys . No DM . Past HO hepatitis c ( cured)
Male | 66
When you have ESRD, your kidneys do not work well. Although dialysis is working for you, high blood pressure may cause more difficulties. Be on the lookout for signs like being tired, swollen body parts and/or having trouble breathing. Do not stop taking your hypertension drugs; also follow a diet that is good for the kidneys plus keep being active.

Experiencing an unusual odor in urine can have various causes, such as dehydration, dietary factors, or infections. It’s essential to stay well-hydrated and consider the foods you consume, like asparagus or certain spices, which can affect scent. If this persists or is accompanied by discomfort, frequent urination, or any other worrisome symptoms, I encourage you to consult with a nephrologist for a thorough evaluation. Be careful with the apple cider vinegar if you have a history of kidney issues. A few drops a day may be safe, but excessive consumption could aggravate the kidney condition. To be safe, think of discussing your kidney health with a nephrologist who can give you individualized recommendations.

Male | 58
For kidney stones, drink plenty of water daily as it can help small stones pass naturally. Avoid high-salt and high-oxalate foods, like spinach and nuts, which may make stones worse. Please consult a urologist for proper treatment options based on the stone's size and location.
