Iam 21 years old male backache for 2 months and some health issues that I don't understand what should I do?
Male | 21
Back injury's roots can be different, due to incorrect body posture, overworked muscles, or stress. Any other signs you may have, including numbness or tingling in your legs, are equally important to listen to. Attempting to correct your posture, and undertake light stretching exercises, and hot or cold packs may also be beneficial for pain relief. When the pain does not diminish, it is advisable to consult an orthopedist for a second opinion and treatment.

Recently one of my fingers was cut off due to a bike accident. I have undergone plastic surgery on the finger and an iron wire has been stuck on it, but why does my hand look small?
Female | 27
It is common to see that a hand looks smaller because of the swelling and the other tissues that are nearby. Muscles may also shrink. As the healing time goes by, this can improve and the hand may return to its normal size. You can help speed up the recovery process if you try such movements and undergo physical therapy. Keep physical activity within the limits of your orthopedist's advice.

I have an ingrown toenail on the big toes of my left and right leg, and two on the small toes of the left leg. Four in total. I have three questions regarding the same: 1) Will all four toes be operated on the same day? 2) Will it be done under General Anaesthesia? 3) Can I resume a Work from Home job two days after the surgery?I appreciate your time and response. Thank you.
Male | 24
Each toe should be taken care of in separate appointments to prevent complications. The surgery is usually performed with local anesthesia and not general anesthesia. Depending on your pain and comfort levels, you can go back to working from home after 48 hours. Make sure that you follow your doctor's aftercare instructions for a quick recovery.

While climbing the steps, I slipped and fell down. The knee of the leg was hit by the step. X-rays are all normal. But there is pain when bending the leg. There is a fluid inside. It's feeling tight while bending knee
Male | 27
You might have hurt your knee when you slipped and fell. The pain and tightness you feel in your leg when it is bent and the fluid inside it, could be due to a condition called knee effusion. Knee effusion is the excess fluid that gets inside the knee joint and works as a protection for it after an injury. Rest, ice, elevation, and gentle exercises can help reduce the pain and swelling. If the pain doesn't go away or worsens, it's crucial to visit an orthopedist.

The cervical injury normally comes with pain in the neck region. The reasons behind this can be accidents, incorrect posture, or too much hard work. For relief, first, rest your neck, use ice packs, and take pain medication if your doctor prescribes it. However, ensuring you get a professional opinion is important if the pain does not go away.

Male | 20
A sprained foot might be the issue. When someone steps on your foot, the tissues get strained, causing swelling. Pain and difficulty moving your foot are common symptoms. To manage, resting, icing the area, and elevating your foot are helpful strategies. However, if swelling and pain persist, seeking medical evaluation from an orthopedist is crucial for proper assessment and treatment.

4th PP base fracture and 5th MC dislocation L hand
Male | 22
You likely experienced a fracture in your 4th finger and dislocation of the 5th. Breaks and joint misalignments can occur due to accidents or falls. Pain, swelling, restricted movement: these symptoms indicate potential issues. Treatment often involves splints or casts to immobilize affected areas during healing. Though concerning initially, proper care should facilitate full recovery over time.

I have pain, swelling and discoloration in the palm of my right hand right under my thumb. When I woke up this morning my entire hand is now swollen and is numb and I am unable to make a fist. What should I do?
Female | 36
It sounds like you're experiencing significant discomfort, possibly due to a sprain, inflammation, or nerve-related issue. Swelling, numbness, and changes in color suggest a need for immediate attention. To manage the symptoms, try resting your hand, elevating it, and applying ice to reduce swelling. Over-the-counter pain relief may help as well. However, it's essential that you see a orthopedist for a comprehensive evaluation to determine the underlying cause and appropriate treatment.

Female | 22
Thigh pain can be due to various reasons such as muscle strain, overuse, or even bad posture. Sometimes, you're sitting for too long, and you'll feel your thighs are hurting. Alongside this issue is that you are sitting for a long time and your thighs hurt. Do some light stretching, and apply heat to the affected area. Be active and avoid long periods of sitting down to allow them to feel well.

Hey! Little backstory of me. I had diagnosed DVT 4 months ago. So I am still using anticoagulants. DVT cause was covid and it started on left calf. Now, few days ago I woke up and suddenly felt pain in my left foot. To be precise, on the ball of foot. No swelling or color changes. And no jumping or running or long days on foot. Just a pain. I can’t stand and put pressure on this foot. But, if I try to walk a little, the pain gets milder. It won’t completely go away, but I can manage it. First question is, can I get blood clot on bottom of my foot? Secondly, I tried to research and got no real answers, so maybe you could take a guess. Age 29, weight 80kg.
Male | 29
Yes, getting a blood clot in the small vessels of your foot is something that can happen, but it is rare. The pain that you have may be nerve problems or strain. Be observant of it and if it does not go away or worsens, do not hesitate to contact an orthopedist for a check-up to be on the safe side.

I am 40 years old male and been complaining from back pain for about almost 20 years in the past years as I’m getting older. It’s been getting worse now I am kind of walking differently and my back is a little bent with a back hump, I did an MRI and I had C4 C5 C6 t1 t2 and L5 S1 mentioned some abnormality in their function. My question is will this be cured through surgery or even give me a better chance living a better life if I do the surgery because back surgery really does scare me a lot.
Male | 40
Your back pain could be due to herniated discs or spinal stenosis. If it is, you might have trouble walking or your posture could change. Having surgery might help take the pressure off of the nerves and make the symptoms better. Surgery can often help improve your quality of life, but it's important to consult an orthopedic surgeon or a spine specialist. They will guide you on the best treatment options and help address your concerns about surgery.

I am 27 years old . During a month I suffered from knee pain and pooping sound coming from there . Even I noticed sounds coming from every joint.
Male | 27
You may be suffering from crepitus, a condition involving joints made from popping or cracking sounds. When the knee or another joint, like the knee, expands, you can hear the sound. This says that sometimes air bubbles may be in the joint space. Or the Cheerios cereal-like cartilage surfaces of our bones are responsible for creating noise.
