when can i drink after lip fillers?

  • Avoid drinking any fluid including water: For 2 to 4 hours post lip fillers treatment till the time your fillers wear off.
  • Avoid using strawswhile drinking beverages as you dont want to displace fillers with the pressure exerted by them.
  • Avoid alcohol: For 24 hours minimum. It acts as a blood thinner, which increases the probability of bruising & inflammation and has a dehydrating effect.
  • Avoid hot beverages: Until anesthesia wears off and your sensation is restored, as your lips would still be numb and thus would also make you prone to burning sensation, which would worsen swelling.
  • Tip: You should drink plenty of water and stay hydrated after getting lip filler treatment.

how are cheek implants placed?

Cheek implants are placed through the incisions in the mouth. It can be placed in two ways:

  •  face lift incision
    •  Here the tissue is gently stretched to create a small pocket over your cheekbone.
    •  Then the cheek implant will be placed in the pocket, fixing the cheekbone region.
    •  It helps treat your flat cheeks, cheekbones, wrinkles, lines, under-eye bags, gaunt and hollow cheeks.
  •  lower eyelid incisions:
    •  In this procedure, the implant is placed through an incision within the lower eyelid's fold.
    •  It helps to remove excess skin and bulging eyelid fat and smoothens the connection between the lower eyelid and cheek.

when can i sleep without a bra after breast augmentation?

  •  You can sleep without a bra after 4-6 weeks of breast augmentation.
  •  It is advised to wear a compressive bra 24/7 to minimize swelling and provide added comfort and support to the surgical area.
  •  A support bra will hold your newly enlarged breasts in place, provide you with an excellent shape, and allow you to sleep comfortably.

surgical bra can be removed for few hours while taking showers. But it is advisable to keep it on as much as possible as it helps in providing shape and fullness to the breasts.

when can i wear a push up bra after implants?

  • you should avoid wearing a push-up Bra for around 3-4 months after breast augmentation.
  •  As wearing an underwire bra may irritate the surgical incision and produce more friction and pain in the location, causing noticeable scarring and discomfort.
  •  Sometimes, patients lose sensation because the push-up Bra cannot provide the support their healing breasts need.

Which Bra should you choose after post-op:

  •  It is recommended to wear a post-op bra because the support strap of these bars is designed especially for breast augmentations.
  •  It minimizes the swelling, creates the most comfortable possible fit, helps keep the implants in place, and allows the breasts to heal better.

when can i workout after breast augmentation?

  • For a week after breast augmentation surgery - patients can:
    • Do light walking – the same prevents clotting.
    • Prepare light meals, take shower, and wash hair.
    • Begin with stretching exercises after 5 days.
  • After 2 to 3 weeks - patients can:
    • Climb stairs
    • Return back to work
    • Do cycling on a stationary bike
  • 4 to 5 weeks after surgery - patients can perform:
    • Lunges
    • Leg presses
    • Running/jumping
    • Squats (without weights)
  • After 6-8 weeks - patients can:
    • Swim and lift weights
    • But can't directly hit the gyms

Exercising too soon can result in:

  • Tightening of sutures
  • Opening of incisions
  • Muscle/nerve injury
  • Swelling
  • Implant displacement
  • Implant rupture
  • Can make the implants more asymmetric in shape

Therefore, you are advised to exercise going by the timeline given above, or whatever your surgeon suggests!

If you are at a stage where you are still deciding whether to opt for this surgery or not, or if you have undergone this surgery and have doubts, then we have listing pages on surgeons based in India and Turkey for your perusal.
