Endoscopy- It is like a gastroscope or endoscope, which is a narrow, illuminated, flexible tube that allows the doctor to see the inside of the body.
Ultrasound endoscopically- This procedure is similar to an endoscopy, except the gastroscope includes a tiny ultrasonic probe. An ultrasound is a type of X-ray that employs sound waves to provide an image of the interior organs. An x-ray uses a small quantity of radiation to provide an image of the structures inside the body.
Swallow barium- A barium swallow involves swallowing a beverage containing barium and then taking x-rays.
Imaging using magnetic resonance (MRI). An MRI produces detailed pictures of the body using magnetic fields rather than x-rays.
Positron emission tomography (PET) or PET-CT scan- A PET scan is generally coupled with a CT scan (see above), resulting in a PET-CT scan.
Laparoscopy- It is a small operation in which the surgeon inserts a thin, illuminated, flexible tube into the abdominal cavity called a laparoscope
