Hello, a few months ago I had an episode where I was sitting to urinate, and then all of the sudden when I initiated my stream, I felt and heard the urine go backwards. After the incident, my perenium and the area around my anus were red and swollen. I want to know how this leakage occured? I recently had trauma to my urethra. I’m scared. As I have been dealing with this for awhile, and I have become sick.

Consulting a urologist with physical examinations and diagnostic testing to establish the underlying cause is essential. According to the diagnosis, treatment can be conducted in form of medications, pelvic floor exercises or surgery.
