My grandmother is diagnosed with Pulmonary edema. We need to immediately taker her to Gurgaon which 5 hrs journey from our hometown. Can u please suggest some preliminary care/ tips for her immediate relief. Also like to know if this disease is curable?

This is actually about my mother. 5 days ago, she started having these flu-like symptoms; coughing, extreme fatigue, phlegm, wheezing, headache, chills, and fever. The fever is now gone, but she still has all the other symptoms. She had a chest x-ray that came back perfectly fine, and tested negative for COVID, so it’s not that. She hasn’t really improved, but she hasn’t gotten worse either. Could this be the flu?

The best thing you can do is make your mother rest, take a lot of fluids, and use drugs that can relieve her of any symptoms that are associated with over-the-counter. Make sure she takes syrup, water, tea, etc. to keep herself hydrated especially since she might not have much desire for them due to coughs being experienced hence causing dry throat. Please visit a pulmonologist for further treatment.

Hi dr I’m asthma from childhood I use seretide 500/50 vantoline lumenta 10 mg Last week I will visit chest dr he give me azit 500 mg 3 day per week I have chest ct scan and X-ray normal I have cough my left side and sometimes sound

Your chest doctor likely gave you the antibiotic Azit to fight lung infections. Take all the pills until they're gone, like the doctor said. If the cough gets worse or doesn't go away, see your pulmonologist again. They can check it out and give you a different treatment if needed.
