I have oily skin and acne problem. The problem is that scars are not removed completely. Some are getting light but not removed completely. I recently heard about microdermabrasion for acne scars from one of my friends. Does it really work? I am 23 now. Does it have any side effects?

Oily skin is always connected to acne. Acne settle with marks and scars those are the complications .Micro Dermabrasion is a very superficial technique to remove dead skin from the skin and hence cannot remove the marks. The marks will need a deeper treatments as Fruit peels, and lasers.

For a very dry and sensitive skin, start a niacinamide based gel to calm the skin .change the face wash to a gentle one, rather than a glow providing one. Post that apply the niacinamide. then use acne moisturizer and then sunscreen for acne prone skin. If this doesn't help you you can consult a dermatologist for skin lightening treatment.

Dark underarms can be due to fungus, sweating and acanthosis nigricans(insulin resistance). which needs through check. Skin Lightening creams, peels and carbon laser are very effective. Treatment of underlying condition need to be seen into. Sweat absorbing powders can be used. And anti fungal creams to treat the fungus.

Sweaty palms and prediabetes are not related as such. Sweaty palms can be anxiety issues, can be since many years For excess sweating , Solution can be used to reduce sweating, if excessive then Botox can be done to stop sweating for 4 /6 months.

Right now Treatment has to be only addressing hair fall, with proteins in diet, anti hair fall supplementations, going light on shampoos and conditioners .After the sudden hair fall has got arrested then hair thinning can be addressed and later after consulting dermatologist, he can decide hair transplant is required on not.

Allergy is body's hypersensitivity reaction to an allergan in the body. Knowing what the reaction is to tablet, food, infection is important. Treating the underlying cause as withdrawal of tablet and food, and treating the infection. Then anti allergic tablets has to be given for a week at least or as prescribed by dermatologist. In severe form , hypersensitive, anaphylaxis steroid tablets have to be given. local calamine lotion preparations, and local antiallergics will help. Soothing lotions can help too

Age spots are seen in people above 40 years, are larger brown/ black /grey flat patches on face and hands on exposed areas. No treatment is required, if they are multiple and patient doesn't mind them. Sunscreens prescribed by the dermatologist have to be used on face and exposed areas.

Melasma takes months and years to go. Treatments are peel / q switch, Gfc treatments, Transemic injections are needed, topical creams for lightening will be given in rotation, with sunscreen, and oral antioxidants. Don't expect miracles with Melasma. They can increase and reduce with hormones as pregnancy n stress also But definitely can be reduced and controlled. Don't worry the white patches will recover. They are post inflammatory hypopigmentation. Complete it as per course of a month and local cream for a month, so that reoccurrence is avoided. Wrinkles is due to shrinking of skin with collagen loss. First is improve life style, eat proteins, sleep well, drink water and eat. The blackening of toe nail can be fungal infection of the nail. You could have contracted it while playing sports, sweaty shoes, using elses socks, or even during a pedicure in salon. Avoid all the above situations. Keep feet clean and dry. Start applying Anti fungal nail laquer as Nail on or Iwin on the nail each day for 3 months as local antifungal and contact a dermatologist near you for oral medications if more feet nails are getting infected. It takes 6 months atleast for the nail to recover and get a new nail.
