Questions & Answers on "Ent Surgery" (304)
I have been using sudafed nasal spray for about 5 days for a nasal drip. I stopped yesterday and have been feeling extremely congested like my sinus is swollen. Could this be rebound congestion? I've been using sinus rinse and a little relief but just feels like there could be some swelling
Male | 40
You could be suffering from rebound congestion. This is common when people use nasal sprays such as Sudafed for more than a couple of days. It may cause you to have swollen nasal passages with a feeling of being more congested. The saline sinus rinse is excellent at relieving the swelling. It's best to avoid overusing the nasal spray to prevent rebound congestion.

I have a white sore in the rear of my throat. It’s been there for about a week. Seems to be getting better
Male | 30
Your sore throat seems typical. A white area behind your throat lasting weekly might indicate a viral illness. This often brings soreness, difficulty swallowing, and possibly mild fever. Consuming warm liquids and resting plenty aids your immune response. However, if symptoms persist or breathing becomes difficult, visit an ENT specialist promptly.

I have ear aches but not sure what it could be causing it
Female | 17
A few different things can cause earaches. Sometimes it is an infection such as one in the ear canal or middle ear where bacteria or viruses have entered. Another cause may be too much ear wax or changes in air pressure. You may find relief by using warm compresses, taking over-the-counter pain medication, and resting. You should see an ENT specialist if your condition doesn’t improve after a few days or get worse.

It was cold. Blood is coming out of the nose. Even spit. It's been 2 days
Male | 27
Nosebleeds can happen because the air is dry or if you sneeze a lot. If you are spitting blood with a bleeding nose, it might be from the back of your nose. Sit straight up, pinch your nose, and breathe through your mouth. If it doesn’t stop, get help from an ENT specialist.

I have problem in my ear . Continuous flowing and pain a lot . I have taken A ear drops then also it paining...
Female | Kiran Pandey
It sounds like you’re experiencing discomfort and drainage from your ear, which can be caused by an infection or congestion. Pain and fluid can occur if there's inflammation in the ear canal or middle ear. Using ear drops is a good start, but if the pain persists, it may indicate a need for further assessment. I recommend scheduling an appointment with a ENT Specialist who can evaluate your condition and provide appropriate treatment. Taking care of your ear health is essential, and a doctor will ensure you receive the best possible care.

Sir Suddenly I feel a stretch in the veins of my nose and head and then I start feeling dizzy. I feel relieved only when I lie down. This has been happening to me for the last 2 years. After every 3 or 4 months, this happens for 3 or 4 days. Last time I consulted a doctor, he said swelling in the nose was the cause. After taking medicines, I got relief for a few months. Now the same thing happens again.
Male | 24
You are suffering from sinus pressure is causing you to feel dizzy. The inflammation in your nose can restrict normal air and fluid flow in the sinuses, thus increasing the discomfort. You can use a humidifier, keep yourself well hydrated, and steer clear of triggers like pollen to cope with this. Consult an ENT specialist and get additional treatment if your symptoms continue.

Female | 19
A throat sensation after kissing could be due to mild irritation, allergic reaction (like perfumes or lipstick), or transmission of a minor viral or bacterial infection (like sore throat or pharyngitis).
✔️ Gargle with warm salt water
✔️ Stay hydrated and avoid spicy foods
✔️ Monitor for symptoms like fever, cough, or sore throat
If discomfort persists beyond a couple of days or worsens, consult a ENT Specialist for evaluation.

I'm having one tonsil bigger than the other and feeling Abit of a sore throat
Female | 22
A sore throat can lead to a situation when one of your tonsils is larger than the other. Infections such as tonsillitis may be one reason but irritation is also a possible cause. Besides a sore throat, you may also have trouble swallowing, swollen lymph nodes, and a cough. Warm fluids and gargling with salt water are some ways to help. If it still doesn't get better, visit an ENT specialist.

If you hear a hissing noise in one ear, you may have tinnitus. It is a condition where you hear sounds like ringing, buzzing, or hissing without any outside noise making the sound. Tinnitus can happen for a few reasons. Very loud sounds can cause it. An ear infection might too. Or if you are very stressed, tinnitus can start. Try to avoid loud places and sounds. Find ways to feel calm and relaxed. But you should also go see an ENT specialist. They can check your ears and help figure out the best way to make the hissing stop.
