Questions & Answers on "Eye" (194)
I am a 13-year-old girl, and one of my eyelids is drooping. This happened a few months ago and I thought it would change but it isn't. One eyelid is slightly droopier than the other. I'm not sure if it's Ptosis, but if so, what can I do to get it fixed whenever I look up one eye bends, and the other has a monolid. This also makes me unsymmetrical. My eyelid used to be the same, what can I do to fix this?
Female | 13
It is possible that you have ptosis, which is a drooping of the eyelid. It is important to see an ophthalmologist to accurately diagnose the condition and determine the most appropriate treatment.

13 years ago I had an operation on my eye then you were fine but now you are suffering from squint the squint is increasing slowly I contacted the nearest doctor but he told me that you have had an operation so you Even if we fix it on the squint but it will not be correct because your vision is very low and the other eye can see fine so can you suggest me that this problem can be solved
Male | 18
A squint may occur if the eye muscles do not collaborate well. Although your vision is weaker in the affected eye, the correction of squinting will not be complete. One additional option is to use prism glasses or practice some visual exercises to develop dynamic eye movements as well. The best thing would be to follow up all the instructions and updates of your eye doctor who will tell you what is specifically appropriate for your case.

Hi… I wanted to do Contuora vision surgery for removing my spectacle . My age is 42 and powers are -5 cylindrical and -1 spherical with 110 and 65 axis. One doctor suggested that with -5 cylindrical power Contoura vision cannot be done and go for Refractive Lens Exchange / clear lens exchange or ICL. I visited another ophthalmologist for second opinion as I don’t want to extract my natural lens ,and he suggested that I can go with Contoura vision for spec removal. Now I am confused . Should I go with CV. At this point i am not interested to extract my natural lens. Looking for some help in this regard from experts. It’s a matter of eyes. I also have reading glass .
Female | 42
CV is a laser procedure to reshape the cornea, while RLE involves replacing the natural lens. ICL is another lens-based option. To make an informed choice, discuss your cornea's suitability for CV, the effectiveness of each procedure for your prescription, and potential risks with your doctors. Seek a third opinion if needed, as your eye health is important.

Dear Sir/Madam, I live abroad. I cannot see because the cornea and optic nerves of my right eye have not developed since birth, and the colored part of my cornea is smaller than my seeing eye. Is there a treatment method in your clinic that will help me see? Or do you have an application that will provide the same appearance as my other eye? Best regards
Male | 18
You have a congenital problem in which one of your eyes, the right one, has not developed fully. This can result in visual impairment or even blindness in that eye. Regrettably, in your case where the cornea and optic nerve have not developed, no treatment can bring back vision. Nevertheless, some cosmetic options like colored contact lenses or prosthetic eyes can enhance the look of your eye and make it more similar to your other eye.

I am 17 year old female. I noticed that I have a lump inside my eyelids on both eyes. It is painless, not swollen, it's colour is same as my skin colour. It's been for about 1 month and it is starting to get noticeable when I close my eyes.
Female | 17
You may have a common eye issue called a chalazion. A chalazion is a small lump in the eyelid. It happens when oil glands get blocked. Don't worry, chalazions often go away by themselves. Try warm compresses to help it heal faster. If it doesn't go away or gets bigger, see an eye doctor for treatment. Chalazions are not serious but can be annoying. The key is to be patient and keep doing the warm compresses. If it persists, an eye doctor can help with easy treatments.

When I work out at the gym, my eye starts to swell after the workout. I consulted an eye specialist, who said it’s an allergy. However, when I jog or walk outside, nothing happens. In the gym, if I lift weights, even light ones, my eye starts to swell later. When I do floor exercises like push-ups, I feel like there's a foreign object in my eye, causing a twitching sensation. This only happens with exercises that involve pressure.looking like muscle weakness. It also happens after swimming. This issue never occurred before, and I’ve been doing these activities for the past four years without any problems. I have consulted various doctors and spent a lot of money, but I have not found a solution.
Male | 24
You might be having allergic reactions triggered by your exercise. When you do certain workouts at the gym, like lifting weights or floor exercises, your eye swells up. This could be due to allergens at the gym or materials from the equipment. It's good that outdoor activities don't cause this problem. To prevent the symptoms, try wearing protective eyewear (goggles) at the gym or using antihistamine eye drops before you work out. It's a good idea to consult with an allergist for a complete evaluation and management plan.

Right eye swelling every morning. I have changed pillow but still same. I have Trichiasis but I don't if that is affecting my eye to swell
Female | 25
You should visit an Ophthalmologist right away. One of the signs that may suggest right eye swelling every morning is an infection, allergy, or underlying medical condition. The underlying cause of your symptoms will be diagnosed and treated by an Ophthalmologist.

I have a eye problem, My eye has pimple what is home remedy for it
Female | 11
A stye is a little, reddish bump on your eyelid. It happens from clogged oil glands in the eyelids. Styes hurt and make eyelids swell. Use a warm cloth on your eye a few times daily to ease discomfort. It helps styes drain and heal quicker. Wash hands before and after touching eyes. Don't squeeze or pop styes. See an eye doctor if the stye doesn't improve after days or worsens.

I am speaking from Bangladesh. I got glass in my eye in a car accident. After medical treatment, an operation was performed and the eye was stitched. And was using some drops. Such as drepaid drop, mycin drop etc. After doing these the eyes were improving. Suddenly one day after sleeping at night I woke up in the morning. I see blurry eyes. Very blurry. And there are some white spots inside the eyes. What is the problem and treatment?
Male | 26
You may be having a problem called corneal ulcer. This may be the case if there is an infection or an injury of the cornea, which is the outermost layer of the eye and is transparent. Blurry vision and white spots are the typical symptoms. It's important to see your eye doctor for proper treatment, which may include antibiotics or other medications.

what is the transprint thing in my mother eye. This is look like transprint pimple on white part of eye. Please explain in hindi if possible.
Female | 45
The transparent bump on the white part of your mother's eye could be a pinguecula or conjunctival cyst. It's usually harmless but should be checked by an eye doctor, to ensure there’s no serious issue. Please take her to the doctor for a proper examination.

Your kid's eyes seem irritated, with redness and excessive tearing. This could indicate pink eye, often caused by viral or bacterial infections. To provide relief, gently cleanse his eyes using warm water, applying cool damp cloth compresses. Encourage frequent handwashing too. However, if symptoms persist, visit an eye specialist.

I am 19 years old and I have little bit pain in my eyes since 3 days ago. In the morning i washed my face with cold water and after that I'll get some relief but then again it stated pain in my eyes
Female | 19
Eye issues can be challenging, especially when you are young. At 19, eye pain may seem unusual, but there could be simple reasons behind it. One reason may be dry eyes from cold water exposure. Another could be eye strain from too much screen time. Staring at screens for long hours can make your eyes tired and sore. To take care of your eyes, take breaks from screens often. Look away every 20 minutes for 20 seconds. Blink frequently to keep your eyes lubricated. Use eye drops for dry eyes to keep them moist and comfortable. If the pain persists, visit an eye doctor. An eye specialist can examine your eyes, identify the root cause, and provide proper treatment to relieve discomfort and prevent further issues.

Drop of alcohol got into my husband's eye washed it but he has some discomfort what to do
Male | 56
Your husband got alcohol in his eye by mistake. Irritation often happens then. Alcohol bothers eyes, making them sting, redden, and water. First, rinse his eye with cool water for around fifteen minutes. Have him blink repeatedly to flush it out thoroughly. If discomfort remains, try over-the-counter artificial tear drops to soothe irritation. However, if discomfort persists despite these measures, visit an eye doctor.

The thing is that my father had a cataract surgery 9 days ago but as normal patient his eyesight hasn't come yet. He is facing blurriness or cloudiness and not able to see things properly. Kindly guide me by giving the best suggestion from your side.
Male | 56
The cloudy or blurry vision is one of the normal things to experience during the first few days after cataract surgery. Yet, as the condition has lasted more than a week, you are advised to see your ophthalmologist. In this situation, your father can ask these eye doctors who previously did his cataract for a close examination and treatment.

Want to know about retina treatment
Male | 50
The retina is a thin film of tissue making the inner surface of your eye that transmits the images outside to your brain. Problems with the retina can lead to serious vision issues. Signs of the problem with the retina you might get are blurred vision, flashes of light that come out of nowhere, and the perception of something that is not there in your field of vision. Causes can range from aging to serious conditions like diabetes. In the case of treatment, the restoration of vision is usually done by a surgical operation on the damaged retina.

I am suddenly seeing floaters in my vision and a little pain in the back of the eye, especially the left one. Eyes were perfectly normal around 2 weeks ago. I am not seeing any flashes of light or distorted vision, it is just fast moving floaters. I didn't do anything that would cause injury to my eyes. What it could be?
Female | 21
You may be suffering from posterior vitreous detachment (PVD). The reason for this is when the gel-like structure in your eye gradually departs from the retina thus causing floaters. The aching in the back of your eye could be the result of a process that is abrasive to the area. The good news is that PVD often gets better on its own. However, you need to see an eye doctor to confirm there are no complications.
