How to increas disk space between L5 and S1
Female | 21
There is lesser space between the L5 and S1 vertebrae which contributes to back pain and leg pain. This is mainly due to aging or a slipped disc. You can create more room by strengthening your core muscles that support the spine. Additionally, proper posture and regular physical activity are important in relieving the pressure on these vertebrae. You can also visit an orthopedist for further treatment.

Due to a car accident a while back, I've been wearing diapers for an extended period because of my mobility issues. I don't currently have incontinence issues, but my reliance on diapers has made me wonder about the long-term effects. My primary concern is whether this extended use of diapers, even without incontinence, might eventually lead to total incontinence. I would greatly appreciate your insights or any information you can provide on this matter.
Male | 23
Prolonged diaper use may cause a number of health problems including urinary tract infections, skin rashes and discomfort.

My coler bane look like block
Male | 42
It looks like you have some abrupt discomfort in your collarbone area. Perhaps you have strained muscles, an injury, or you have a wrong posture. Common symptoms are feeling painful, swollen, or restricted movement. To handle this discomfort, give a trial to the cold pack applied to the affected area and take a rest. Also doing gentle stretching may be useful. Still, after symptoms do not go away or they even become more serious, you should consult an orthopedist.

Experiencing calf discomfort for the past two months can be concerning. Common reasons for this include muscle strain, overuse, or even issues with circulation. Symptoms may involve tightness, cramping, or tenderness in that area. To alleviate the discomfort, consider gentle stretching, proper hydration, and rest. Applying ice for 15-20 minutes can also help reduce inflammation. However, if pain worsens or persists, it’s essential to seek guidance from an orthopedist. Having done total thyroidectomy in May 2025 and presently on thyroxine 150 with stable thyroid levels now. Felt hand swelling and shooting pain a month ago and was put on antibiotics for a month. Although got some relief but still feel stiffness and pain in my right hand at night. Done MRI and blood tests. MRI SHOWED JOINT EFFUSION and no injury. Blood test showed raised CRP and ESR levels which have been reduced close to normal now. RF test came negative twice
Male | 36
It's good that your MRI showed joint effusion and ruled out any injury. The raised CRP and ESR levels could indicate inflammation in your body, which seems to be improving since they're closer to normal now. Negative RF tests are a good sign for conditions like rheumatoid arthritis. To address the stiffness and pain in your right hand, I recommend gentle stretching exercises, applying ice or heat, and discussing possible physical therapy with your orthopedist. Keep monitoring your symptoms, and don't hesitate to follow up with your healthcare provider for further guidance.

Male | 14
When a toe gets partially displaced, it can lead to stiffness and difficulty bending. This may be because the toe did not heal properly after the injury. It is crucial to visit an orthopedist to properly evaluate the toe. They might suggest exercises or wearing special footwear to help the toe move better.

i am 25 years old, around 1.5 months ago i had a road accident, cause of that i had injury on my forhead , i had depressed forhead (frontal bone fracture). my doctor just gave me some medicines, and ask to come after 1 month. is it normal or what should i do. i'm not facing any side effect, for me everything looks normal. i just want to know is it normal, or i should change the doctor and go for surgery or i should wait.
Male | 25
Usually, a physician will watch and wait before deciding whether or not to operate on you. A depressed frontal bone fracture can heal itself if no problems are being caused by it. It is good that you have no side effects. Just do as the doctor says, keep on taking your medicines and don't miss any appointment for check up. In case there is any change let me know or if things get worse consult with an orthopedist as soon as possible.

Hello, doctor. The posterior cruciate and anterior cruciate ligaments in my right knee are torn. Do you think I need surgery? If surgery is necessary, what kind of treatment would you recommend?
Erkek | 23
Whether surgery is necessary depends on the severity of the tears and how they affect your daily activities. Non-surgical treatments, such as physical therapy and bracing, can sometimes effectively manage symptoms. However, if these approaches do not provide relief and your knee remains unstable, surgical reconstruction may be recommended. I encourage you to consult with an orthopedic specialist who can assess your situation thoroughly and help determine the best treatment plan tailored to your needs.

You may have done a number on your knee with that accident from when you fell down the stairs nine years ago. You could be feeling the pain of that older wound now. Common symptoms of a knee injury are pain, swelling, and difficulty moving. You can attack the pain by first resting your leg, applying cold, and taking pain medication if needed. If the pain continues, it's best to consult a orthopedist, for examination and treatment.
