Suffering from left groin pain from the past week.medications from family doctor did not work out immense pain lifting the leg & down to the ground.pls advice what can be the reason & what tests required for treatment
Female | 64
Groin pain can come from different sources like a muscle strain or hernia. To find out the right one, an orthopedist might recommend your tests like an ultrasound or MRI. These tests are to look through your body and find the exact problem. After the diagnosis is made, the doctor can recommend the right therapy, which may consist of physical therapy or surgery.

Hi , few days back due to extreme abdomen pain . I got an injection on my buttocks area. After few days ,I started feeling the injection area as a lump and eventually the lump size got some smaller but still after 2 months of injection,I still feel the area as a small lump . Also at times while walking and standing I feel a sort of nerve like pain throughout my leg from the injection area to the knees . May I know what can be done further ? Is the lump temporary? How can I avoid this pain ?
Female | 24
It’s not uncommon to experience a lump and discomfort after an injection, as some swelling or residual medication can occur. The lump is likely temporary, but nerve-like pain may suggest irritation in the area. To alleviate discomfort, consider applying warm compresses and gently massaging the area, if comfortable. Staying active and performing stretching exercises can also help. However, since symptoms persist, I encourage you to consult a orthopedist for a thorough evaluation. They can provide a tailored plan to address your concerns effectively and ensure proper healing.

I came back from gym I stuffed 2 pounds and 1 50 in my sock I left it and the shoes pressed the coins against the skin (I ignored it) when I came back from gym I saw when I took my socks off my feet had circles where the coins were and it was blue is it meaning I will get cancer I’m worried I washed the colour off but there still is some left
Male | 18
Bruises, like the one from coins pressing against your feet, happen when tiny blood vessels break. The skin turns purple or blue from leaking blood underneath. These usually fade away on their own after some time. Just be careful not to put more pressure there. The bruise should go away without issues. However, let an orthopedist know if you see anything concerning.

hi im 17 years old and a male the inly medication im taking is antibiotic for acne. recently for the past several days ive been feeling weird cramp like sensations like something is moving in my lower right back/ to the side. it doesnt hurt really but its very distracting. its not constant and comes here and there during the day what could this be
Male | 17
You were right to contact us about those crampy pains in your lower right back and side. Kidney issues can cause sensations like that sometimes. Even little kidney stones might feel similar. You must complete the full course of antibiotics prescribed. Drinking lots of water helps too. However, if the pain worsens or won't go away, you should let an orthopedist know.

The condition you are experiencing could be sciatica. Sciatica is caused by irritation of the sciatic nerve in your leg. This can result in pain and discomfort in the thigh and make it difficult to walk or sit. You can do some gentle stretching exercises, apply cold packs, and rest. If the pain continues, consult an orthopedic specialist.

Female | 23
You might be having a rough time with your quadricep tendinitis. The symptoms you're going through, like pain moving from your knees to your thighs, can be a challenge. This kind of injury can be caused by overusing your legs or not warming up properly before exercise. To help with this, try doing some gentle stretches and avoiding activities that worsen the pain. As well, applying ice packs and elevating your legs can provide some relief.

I have a lot of pain in my entire back and in my neck. If I do any work for 10 or 15 minutes, I get a lot of pain. Whenever I go to sleep, as soon as I lie down on the bed, I get pain.
Male | 18
The symptoms you’re experiencing discomfort in your back and neck can often arise from muscle strain, poor posture, or even stress. It’s important to take regular breaks during activities and incorporate gentle stretching to relieve tension. Using a supportive pillow and mattress may also help improve your sleep quality. However, if pain persists or worsens, I strongly recommend seeing an orthopedist for a thorough evaluation. They can provide a tailored treatment plan to address your specific needs.

My age is 73 I have a muscle problem due to this I have started losing grip in my right hand can you recommend some vatiman for this please
Male | 73
When you mention muscle issues and difficulty gripping with your right hand, it suggests some weakness. This could be due to a lack of vitamins, such as vitamin B12. You can get this vitamin from foods like fish, poultry, eggs, and dairy products. It’s a good idea to talk to an orthopedist about your problem for better guidance.

How to cope up sciatica ,that have been facing 3 months?
Male | 34
Did you consult with neurologist or orthopedist? If not then please do that. They can diagnose the underlying cause of the sciatica and provide appropriate treatment. Some self-care measures such as taking over-the-counter pain relievers, gentle stretching, and hot/cold compresses may also help to get rid of the symptoms. However, these measures should only be used under the guidance of a doctor.

Carpal tunnel syndrome can also be brought on by a pregnant woman's palms and fingers. The nerve in the wrist is squashed, which is how carpal tunnel syndrome occurs. The high volume of swelling is a common cause of carpal tunnel syndrome in pregnancy. To treat the problem, you can hold your hand above your head, do hand exercises, or even consider wearing the splint while walking at night. It gets worse, visit an orthopedist.

My wife left hand pain and narve strain
Female | 28
Pain in the left hand, particularly from nerve strain, can stem from various causes such as overuse, repetitive motions, or even poor posture. Symptoms may include tingling, weakness, or stiffness. To ease her symptoms, recommend gentle stretching, warm compresses, and regular breaks from activities that strain her hand. Encouragement to modify any repetitive tasks can also help. i have severe pain in posterior back thigh for more than 2 year.it leads to my lower back. i can barely walk because of it.i have taken alot of medications but it just gave me a temporary relief and i haven't got any improvement.
Male | 20
It is possible that sciatica, which involves a nerve in your lower back getting irritated, is the cause of this. This can give you a hard time in your thigh. Stretching exercises and physical therapy may be a good idea. Likewise, you can use heat for pain relief, plus rub the area gently. If you find that your discomfort continues, please contact an orthopedist.
