Lungs transplant after at the age of 74
Male | 74
A lung transplant is a major surgery in which one person's damaged lungs are replaced with healthy ones from a donor. At the age of seventy-four, the body may not tolerate new lungs as well as when it was younger, which can cause some complications. The symptoms that tell you that you need a lung transplant are severe dyspnea and a permanent lack of energy. It's a difficult decision and requires careful thought as well as consultation with professionals.

These might be signs of acid reflux, which occurs when stomach acid flows back into the tube that carries food from your mouth to your stomach. I understand your apprehension about tuberculosis transmission. Lung tuberculosis disperses via airborne particles, not through saliva exchange. The likelihood of tuberculosis transmission through oral intimacy is minimal. Common tuberculosis indicators: persistent coughing, unintended weight reduction, and persistent fatigue. Should you exhibit any of those manifestations, coupled with prior exposure history, consulting a pulmonologist is important.

From past 10 days I was having severe cough and cold, I somehow got better with the treatment that doctor gave me. But from past two days I have been experiencing shortness of breath followed by rigorous vomiting and cough somewhere between nose and throat and not exactly in nose and throat which is causing it difficult to pass out. This cough is causing me breathlessness and making me spit again and again with vomiting What is this cough between nose and throat? Is it sinus?
Female | 21
Your symptoms suggest postnasal drip. It's caused by nasal mucus draining down your throat, triggering coughs, throat-clearing, even vomiting. You feel like breathing is hard and need to spit frequently. Staying hydrated and using a humidifier could provide relief.
