The side effects of radiotherapy emerge as they damage the healthy tissues around the treatment area.

How long is a course of radiation therapy?

The total dose which is decided by the radiation oncologist and it depends upon the size and location of the cancer, the type of tumour, the patient’s general health and medical history. Each radiation therapy session lasts for about 15-30 minutes.
