had a fall resulting in fractured femur - hospitalised and eventually discharged home - able to mobilise with frame. A second fall resulted in damage to replaced hip joint. Emergency surgery followed by infection in joint and removal of hip on one side. Months in hospital - no improvement with physio. Now in care home, totally immobile - on morphine for pain relief.
