Questions & Answers on "Psychiatry" (501)

from last few days I was sick with normal symptoms like fever cold weakness and I almost recovered from it. I taken medicines and then had call with family members had some discussion and due to the discussion I was little nervous. afterwards I started feeling little scared about the things around, sweating, then omitted 2 times and was not able to fall in sleep due to uncauntiousness. from last night I am feeling like I am having acidity.

Male | 26

You had a tough experience, it seems. The symptoms like nervousness, sweating, throwing up, and difficulty sleeping could point to anxiety. Anxiety can sometimes cause physical signs including stomach issues. Try to calm down by taking deep breaths and avoiding spicy or acidic foods. If symptoms don't go away, speaking to an expert could provide more help.

I am unable to sleep since last few weeks

Male | 38

The trouble of late with a rest condition can hardly be seen due to feeling concerned. One of the most common side effects is having difficulty falling asleep or waking up frequently during the night, which then leads to fatigue during the day. A multitude of things, such as anxiety, lifestyle choices, or even health concerns existing underneath the condition is being the causes of these symptoms. It would be beneficial to try the following to help relieve the situation: implementing a consistent and relaxing nighttime routine, staying away from screens while you're about to sleep, and creating a cozy sleep space.

I also do not want to talk anyone which effect my relationships

Female | 24

You sound depressed. Stress can spin up in many ways which include but are not limited to headaches, insomnia, or upset stomach. A potential cause of this health hazard could also be the compulsion of life or extreme pressure at school. Get relaxed by trying different relaxation techniques such as calming, breathing, going around your building, and hanging out with a friend. Unessential as it may seem, these facts with such relevance as eating good food, doing exercise, and sleeping enough are also quite important.

Male | 27

The tetanus toxoid vaccine produces immunity by blocking the bacterial infection. If you see redness, warmth, or swelling, or if you have fever or muscle stiffness, contact the doctor as fast as you can. Monitor the different symptoms that may arise and just come back to us if there is any need

Feeling too sleepy but still not getting sleep

Female | 27

This happens when you're anxious or stressed. Irregular habits play a role too. Caffeine and screen time before bed don't help either. Try a calming routine - read, take a warm bath. Avoid caffeine, screens close to bedtime. Keep a consistent sleep schedule. If it persists, talk to a therapist or counsellor.

Female | 42

As your body normalizes, symptoms such as dizziness, headaches, and fatigue can come up. They may range from a few days to a couple of weeks, depending on personal factors. The most important thing is to keep yourself hydrated, take a rest, and do light exercises like walking. If these feelings don't go away or become worse, consult a healthcare provider. The doctors can evaluate the situation and give advice on how you can manage these phenomena safely.

I have short term memory issues..I forgot what I have studied..I am a student.. currently preparing for competitive exam ..does it safe to take ritalin like addwize 18mg for memory and concentration

Male | 30

Short-term memory problems happen because of stress, chronic sleep deprivation, or low concentration. Instead of taking medication like Ritalin or Addwize, it's better to focus on healthy habits like getting enough sleep, eating well, and practicing relaxation techniques. Besides that, you can try memory techniques such as list-making or flashcards to remember information effectively.

I can't sleep properly. It's about 2 weeks I am facing this issue.

Female | 26

For the last two weeks, having difficulty getting to sleep or sticking to sleep could be a symptom of insomnia. This can be brought about by stress, worries, or even eating habits. Try setting a bedtime schedule, for example, going to bed and waking up at the same time every day. Say no to the stimulant beverage and technology before night's sleep. If this doesn't help, it's best to speak with your doctor.

I have GAD and hypothyroidism. I've been diagnosed with hypothyroidism for 1 year and GAD for almost 5 months and taking meds regularly. But I don't know if I'll recover from this. I'm tired like really tired. Will it ever be fine. Will I ever be fine?

Female | 16

GAD along with underactive thyroid driving can make you very tired. This is because your thyroid becomes stubborn with time which indirectly and gradually drains your energy level. The plus side is that you can get the right treatment and help and be well on your way to recovery. Sticking to your pills, having a good diet, and getting enough rest are essential. The process of healing will allow you over time to get back to being yourself again.
