Introduction

Intrauterine insemination (IUI) is artificial insemination in which the sperm is directly inserted into the womb. This process involves injecting cleaned and concentrated sperm directly into a woman's uterine cavity through her cavity. IUI is less invasive and doesn't require surgical procedures to transfer the sperm.

IUI cost in Delhi ranges from INR 10,873 to INR 59,966 (USD 136 - USD 750). This is inclusive of all the medical charges involved, including the cost of lab investigations, IUI procedures, doctors' consultation fees, medicines, and other consumables used for the treatment. The cost of intrauterine insemination may vary depending on the type of infertility, the duration of the treatment, the number of cycles, and the pathology. Generally, the cost of IUI increases with an increase in the number of necessary cycles.

What is the procedure of intrauterine insemination?

Once you have decided to opt for IUI, the following are the step-by-step procedures for your treatment:

Pre Testing for IUI

A fertility doctor will analyze your health condition to determine if you're fit for IUI. The doctor tracks eggs as well as their maturity and also analyzes the sperm count of your partner.

  • Step 1:  Stimulate the growth of egg cells for maturation.
  • Step 2: A trigger injection is given to release eggs from matured eggs. After 36 hours of the trigger injection, the IUI process is conducted.
  • Step 3: You will do a pregnancy test after 2-3 weeks of IUI.

What are the factors influencing the cost of IUI treatment in Delhi?

The factors affecting the artificial insemination cost in Delhi are:

  • The type of infertility: The type of infertility a couple suffers from will determine the cost of intrauterine insemination. The most common type of infertility in couples is male infertility, female infertility, and unexplained infertility. For male infertility, the cost of intrauterine insemination is lower as compared to female infertility as the treatment is comparatively simpler.
  • Number of cycles: The number of cycles required for a couple to achieve pregnancy also determines the cost of intrauterine insemination as the cost increases with each cycle. Usually, fertility specialists recommend doing 2 to 3 cycles for intrauterine insemination.
  • Pathology: The cost of intrauterine insemination also depends on the pathology of the couple. If one or both of the partners suffers from pathology, the cost of intrauterine insemination increases.
  • Age of women: The age of the woman is one of the most important factors in determining the cost and success rate of IUI treatment. The cost of IUI treatment for young women is lower and it is higher for older women. This is because younger women tend to require fewer cycles to conceive.

Hi My periods just started. There is a Puja in one day. Is there any medication to stop my period for a day? Please advise. Thank you very much.

If you're looking to temporarily delay your period for a specific event, you might consider consulting a gynecologist near you for advice. They can provide guidance on options that might be available, such as hormonal birth control methods like combined oral contraceptives, which can sometimes be used to adjust the timing of your menstrual cycle.

35 Female with lower abdominal pains below the belly button, bilateral(on both the left and right sides) unilateral in nature(where one sided pain occurs). Sharp and pinpoint to same location for both left and right sides, directly across from each other. happening since October 2021, coincided with period first occurrence on right side 2021 thought it was a cyst at first. Went away until the second occurrence on June 19th, 2022(period cycle then was June 8th - 16th), right side. Went away and returned September 25th, 2022 on left side this time(period cycle for September 2022 was the 3rd through 11th), it occurred again in January 7th 2023 on the right side(period cycle for January 2023 a skipped period) at this point I still thought it was was cyst like pain or even ovulation pain bothering me,so I went to gynecologist, they thought it could be large intestine related due to the location of the pains. I got an ultrasound that came back normal in February of 2023. The same day i had the ultrasound, I went to medexpress to get my physical for my driver's permit, and they suggested asking my previous pcp for a ct scan, to check my appendix. It was hard to get into my previous pcp as I didn't see them in 3 years so I wasn't established. I reached out to the gynecologist I saw in january of 2023, in June 2023 when I had another occurrence of the pain, to see about getting a ct scan. It was approved by insurance, but ultimately denied under physician review( by the supervising gynecologist, and my previous pcp, because my ultrasound was normal). I then established care in December of 2023, with a new pcpx who is suspicious that my pains are coming from ibs mixed with spasms. I am taking dicyclomine 10 mg 4 times a day as needed, but it's not really doing anything when the pains occur. My pcp also changed my dicyclomine to a 45 day supply as I asked in a different question. I also met with a surgeon in March of 2024 due to a large gallstone, as my pcp said they were common in people my age. The surgeon gave a complete different answer than what I have been given before, and he thought my pains could be coming from endometriosis. The surgeon performed my cholecystectomy, on May 29th, and did a general exploration during it, but found no endometriosis. My pcp still suggested getting an evaluation for endometriosis just to know we didn't miss anything, as well as getting evaluated by a gastroenterologist. As my pains have still been continuing. What could these pains be coming from? I feel like I will be tossed back and forth between gynecology and gastroenterology, and I don't want that at all. Some helpful info: My new pcp also diagnosed me with pcos as I fit the criteria for it with my irregular period cycles, despite my bloodwork and ultrasound coming back normal. I also had the cbc; comprehensive metabolic panel; celiac; thyroid; A1C; ESR; and C-Reactive protein all tested in December of 2023 when I met with my new pcp. The only two that came back as abnormal were my ESR at 34 and C-Reactive protein at 29.7

I tried to do medical abortion. I took 1 mifepristone by swallowing. After 24 hours- 800mcg misoprostol vaginally. And 3 hours after that 400mcg misoprostol vaginally and more 400mcg misoprostol with 3 hours interval. Took total 5 doses of misoprostol like this including the first dose of 800mcg. After that my gestational sac came out in the morning while i was sitting on toilet. But i did not bleed at all. My pregnancy tissues and placenta did not pass too as i did not bleed before or after passing the sac. The embryo was inside the fluid like white colored sac. I was 12 weeks pregnant. Its now 36 hours and i did not bleed still. Should i wait for my bleeding to start? I took more misoprostol doses after my sac passed to start my bleeding but did not work. Will all the pregnancy tissues will come out naturally? Will my bleeding start naturally after some days? Will my pregnancy tissues and placenta pass if i wait? a doctor told me to use 2tab Co-Amoxiclav 625mg PO bid for 1week, 2tab metronidazole 400mg PO tid for 1week. this medicines are for infection. Also, do i have risks of having retained placenta issues such as hemorrhage? Or i don’t have the risk as i didn’t bleed at all yet? Will the placenta come out when bleeding will happen naturally after waiting ? i am confused and also very worried.

My period date date is 17 may, what will be my ovulation date

Female | 33

In a normal menstrual cycle, ovulation usually occurs around 14 days before the start of your next period. Since your period date is May 17, you can estimate your potential ovulation date by subtracting around 14 days.

I got my period after 2days of unprotected intercourse and it's been a week and there is no symptoms

Female | 15

It's normal for your period to be late after unprotected intercourse, as the body sometimes reacts this way. It's common not to show any symptoms for a week. Pregnancy symptoms might appear later. Stress or changes in your routine can also delay your period. If you're concerned, taking a pregnancy test in a couple of weeks can give you a clearer answer.

Hello mam I'm 18 years old and I had my first sexual Intercourse yesterday with condom protection, and this is before 1 and half week of my period, and during the process there was no ejaculation from him, so are there any chances for me to get pregnant?

Female | 18

Even if you use a condom, there's still a small chance of pregnancy if there was contact between the genitals. But, if the ejaculation was avoided, the chance is very low. So, nothing to worry about if you're late at times in your periods. A physical examination and pregnancy test after a week or so will be useful for a positive result to confirm that you are pregnant or not.
