My uncle 67 years old had a surgery to remove colon cancer and one liver metastasis, the tumor tests are : mismatch repair proficient, her 2 +ve score 3+ , braf for v600e negative, what is next?
Male | 67
After the surgical removal of colon cancer and a liver metastasis, the next steps may involve targeted therapy, given the HER2-positive status, possibly with drugs like trastuzumab. Since the BRAF V600E mutation is negative, certain chemotherapy options may be effective. Your uncle's oncologist will tailor a treatment plan based on these findings, incorporating adjuvant chemotherapy and possibly targeted therapies. Regular follow-ups and open communication with the healthcare team will be essential for ongoing care and monitoring his response to treatment.

My brother has liver tumor he went through surgery but doctors said there is small amount of tumor left which cant be removed through surgery.my question is will it be removed by radiation therapy/chemotherapy?
Male | 19
Radiation therapy and chemotherapy are treatment options that can help shrink liver tumors. But the effectiveness of these treatments depends on various factors such as the size and location of the remaining tumor, and the overall health of the patient. It is best to consult with an oncologist to determine the most appropriate course of treatment for your brother's condition.

I am 35 years old female and my stomach was bloated for 2 days then I consulted doctor who gave drips then told for a ct scan then they told its cancer other told its all spread and its stage 4 many told us not to get biopsy as it will make it more spread now the report came that cea is 0.5 and ldh is 276
Female | 35
Bloating can arise from various factors, including digestive issues or hormonal changes. The elevated LDH and the CEA levels are significant, but it's crucial to interpret these in the context of your overall health and symptoms. Consult your physician for a comprehensive evaluation and discuss the necessity of a biopsy based on your specific situation. It's essential to have a supportive team guiding your care. Remember, communication with your healthcare provider is key to navigating this journey effectively.

You said that it was once the throat was cancer and now the neck has come back and started to move in and out due to these problems. The local doctors may have given you the reason for this increase. Usually, the main symptoms are the ones that are increasing and the pain association is the one that is moving to the cancer staging compartment. Keeley Mums cancer has spread too far and has been deemed too aggressive for surgery. It started off in the breast and has spread to her brain, throat, lungs, liver and now also into her lymph nodes... She has been referred to oncology, who will look at her case and decide whether she is a fit for chemotherapy, and once they meet her they will decide if she is strong enough to go through it. IF mum is able to have the chemo, she will either be given a course of tablets to take, I believe they are one tablet a week. Or she will be given chemo via an IV and will have to go to once every three weeks for a few hours. If mum decides not to have chemo she will be referred to palliative care
Female | 67
If breast cancer advances to the brain, throat, lungs, liver, and lymph nodes, it is advanced cancer. Breast Cancer naturally develops in the cells of the human breast. But when cancer cells are balooned in size, it is called breast tumor. Chemotherapy treatment is regarded as one of the most popular therapies for advanced Breast Cancer. Chemotherapy can be done as an outpatient procedure if your mom can physically handle the treatment..

I have no lumps, no changes in breasts etc. But I have pain in my armpit. It isn't there all the time, but I feel it throughout the day. Has anyone else had this? Is it just hormonal or could this be a sign of tumor and breast cancer?
Pain in the arm pit can be due to many reasons, infections and breast pathologies being most common. Hormonal changes are also associated with some pain in the arm pit areas. But it is always wise to get yourself examined by a Surgical Oncologist to rule out any pathologies associated with breasts. Self examination is the key to early diagnosis and management of Breast Cancers. Undergoing a simple Mammography can rule out any queries regarding breast lumps or tumors.

Does cancer come back in everyone who is cured after treatment?
Male | 22
When an individual undergoes treatment and the disease fades away, it’s a relief. Nonetheless, there are times when it recurs after going into remission. It is contingent on the kind of malignancy one has as well as the method used for healing it. Signs that can indicate its reoccurrence may be similar to those experienced during the first onset such as unexplained weight loss, fatigue, or formation of new masses. To avoid its resurgence, you need to keep seeing your doctor for regular checkups besides living healthily.
