Various surgical procedures treat ear, neck, and throat disorders. Some of them are listed below;
- Tympanostomy- Ear tubes are fixed into the eardrum after injecting anesthesia. After a few months, the tube comes out itself, and the cut on the eardrum heals itself.
- Laryngoplasty- A procedure to improve hoarseness of the throat by pushing collagen into the vocal cords.
- Septoplasty- Renovating or reforming a deformed septum is a nasal surgery known as Septoplasty. A small cut is made, and the cartilage and bone present in the middle of the nose are repaired.
- Neck mass Biopsy - A small amount of anesthesia is injected to cut out the skin below the neck. Absorbable sutures or tissue glue is used to join the cut. The whole procedure is of 30 minutes.
- Tonsillectomy- The procedure of surgically removing the tonsils. Surgery is very commonly done for children and adults.
- Thyroidectomy- It is a method of removing the thyroid gland through surgery. The surgery is done in a way that ensures minimal suffering and pain.
