I am 17 year old girl... I missed my periods for 8 months.. Once i consulted gynecology doctor she said i have no problems like pcod... After some months i tried home remedy's but i didn't get any results what should i do? Can i take tablets to this for all months
Female | 17
You need to understand why your periods have stopped so you should not panic after missing a few months. Some causes may include stress, change in weight, or hormonal imbalance. It can be dangerous to take pills when you do not know the real reason behind this. Instead, seek other gynecologist's opinions or see a specialist for more tests and advice.

I'm 17 years old female. I have a history of pcod, and my period cycle isn't regular. last month my periods got delayed for a week. This month I had sex on 14th which was unprotected. And my date for periods was 24. It's more than a week now, there isn't any sign of periods . However I am feeling no symptoms of pregnancy, no cramping, no nausea nothing. I haven't did a pregnancy test, but I just want to know can I confirm a pregnancy without having to test it. Also, what I can do to abort it?
Female | 17
Pregnancy symptoms can vary, absence of your period does not confirm pregnancy, especially with irregular cycles. A pregnancy test is the most reliable method to determine this. If you find yourself pregnant and wish to discuss options, including abortion, it’s vital to consult a gynecologist. They can provide safe and confidential support, ensuring you make informed decisions.

Unwanted lene k bad se hi muje white dircharg kyu horha h
Female | 22
White discharge can appear for various reasons, including hormonal changes, infections, or normal vaginal secretions. If it’s accompanied by itching, odor, or discomfort, these could be signs of an infection such as candidiasis or bacterial vaginosis. To manage this, keeping the area clean and dry, wearing breathable cotton underwear, and avoiding irritants is helpful. However, I strongly recommend visiting a gynecologist for a thorough evaluation and appropriate treatment tailored to your needs.

I am suffering from bartholin cyst and now it's been a couple of months the cyst is not disappearing properly and it's become tiny in size and doesn't not causing any pain and irritating so is it severe should I be concern
Female | 22
Don't worry if your Bartholin cyst has shrunken and stopped aching. It indicates it's getting better. These cysts can persist but often resolve naturally. Keep the area clean and avoid excessive touching. However, if pain or growth resumes, consult a gynecologist.

Hi My periods just started. There is a Puja in one day. Is there any medication to stop my period for a day? Please advise. Thank you very much.
Female | 34
If you're looking to temporarily delay your period for a specific event, you might consider consulting a gynecologist near you for advice. They can provide guidance on options that might be available, such as hormonal birth control methods like combined oral contraceptives, which can sometimes be used to adjust the timing of your menstrual cycle.

I had a new born babe right after the delivery I use vape and now my breast have no milk what can I do doctor
Female | 28
You have to stop using the vape immediately. Nicotine could prevent the production of milk and cause harm to your baby`s health. Consult with a specialist in lactation or gynecologist to help to enhance your milk production and the well-being of both you and your baby.

Breast discharge and pcos
Female | 19
If you have breast discharge, PCOS might be causing it. PCOS makes your body produce excess androgens. Androgens disrupt menstrual cycles, resulting in breast discharge. Symptoms: irregular periods, breast tenderness. Managing PCOS requires medication and lifestyle changes. Get breast discharge checked by a gynecologist. They'll ensure there are no underlying issues.

35 Female with lower abdominal pains below the belly button, bilateral(on both the left and right sides) unilateral in nature(where one sided pain occurs). Sharp and pinpoint to same location for both left and right sides, directly across from each other. happening since October 2021, coincided with period first occurrence on right side 2021 thought it was a cyst at first. Went away until the second occurrence on June 19th, 2022(period cycle then was June 8th - 16th), right side. Went away and returned September 25th, 2022 on left side this time(period cycle for September 2022 was the 3rd through 11th), it occurred again in January 7th 2023 on the right side(period cycle for January 2023 a skipped period) at this point I still thought it was was cyst like pain or even ovulation pain bothering me,so I went to gynecologist, they thought it could be large intestine related due to the location of the pains. I got an ultrasound that came back normal in February of 2023. The same day i had the ultrasound, I went to medexpress to get my physical for my driver's permit, and they suggested asking my previous pcp for a ct scan, to check my appendix. It was hard to get into my previous pcp as I didn't see them in 3 years so I wasn't established. I reached out to the gynecologist I saw in january of 2023, in June 2023 when I had another occurrence of the pain, to see about getting a ct scan. It was approved by insurance, but ultimately denied under physician review( by the supervising gynecologist, and my previous pcp, because my ultrasound was normal). I then established care in December of 2023, with a new pcpx who is suspicious that my pains are coming from ibs mixed with spasms. I am taking dicyclomine 10 mg 4 times a day as needed, but it's not really doing anything when the pains occur. My pcp also changed my dicyclomine to a 45 day supply as I asked in a different question. I also met with a surgeon in March of 2024 due to a large gallstone, as my pcp said they were common in people my age. The surgeon gave a complete different answer than what I have been given before, and he thought my pains could be coming from endometriosis. The surgeon performed my cholecystectomy, on May 29th, and did a general exploration during it, but found no endometriosis. My pcp still suggested getting an evaluation for endometriosis just to know we didn't miss anything, as well as getting evaluated by a gastroenterologist. As my pains have still been continuing. What could these pains be coming from? I feel like I will be tossed back and forth between gynecology and gastroenterology, and I don't want that at all. Some helpful info: My new pcp also diagnosed me with pcos as I fit the criteria for it with my irregular period cycles, despite my bloodwork and ultrasound coming back normal. I also had the cbc; comprehensive metabolic panel; celiac; thyroid; A1C; ESR; and C-Reactive protein all tested in December of 2023 when I met with my new pcp. The only two that came back as abnormal were my ESR at 34 and C-Reactive protein at 29.7
Female | 35
You have been through a lot with your abdominal pains. Therefore, considering the normal ultrasound results and the new suspicion of endometriosis from the surgeon, your pain may be due to endometriosis, the condition wherein tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus that can result in cyclical sharp pelvic pain. It's okay to talk to a gynecologist about more tests and treatments. Besides, you might want to see a gastroenterologist, too, so as to eliminate the probability of any intestinal problems causing the symptoms you are having.

Can I take pregnancy test after 1 day of missed period??? Urine test or beta HCG
Female | 27
You can certainly take a pregnancy test one day after your period is due. Home urine tests are quite accurate at this stage, as they detect the hormone hCG, which rises in early pregnancy. However, for more precise results, a blood test measuring beta hCG can be conducted at a healthcare facility. Symptoms of early pregnancy may include missed periods, fatigue, and breast tenderness. If you have concerns or uncertainties, it is best to consult your gynecologist for personalized guidance and support. They can help clarify your situation and discuss the next steps.

I tried to do medical abortion. I took 1 mifepristone by swallowing. After 24 hours- 800mcg misoprostol vaginally. And 3 hours after that 400mcg misoprostol vaginally and more 400mcg misoprostol with 3 hours interval. Took total 5 doses of misoprostol like this including the first dose of 800mcg. After that my gestational sac came out in the morning while i was sitting on toilet. But i did not bleed at all. My pregnancy tissues and placenta did not pass too as i did not bleed before or after passing the sac. The embryo was inside the fluid like white colored sac. I was 12 weeks pregnant. Its now 36 hours and i did not bleed still. Should i wait for my bleeding to start? I took more misoprostol doses after my sac passed to start my bleeding but did not work. Will all the pregnancy tissues will come out naturally? Will my bleeding start naturally after some days? Will my pregnancy tissues and placenta pass if i wait? a doctor told me to use 2tab Co-Amoxiclav 625mg PO bid for 1week, 2tab metronidazole 400mg PO tid for 1week. this medicines are for infection. Also, do i have risks of having retained placenta issues such as hemorrhage? Or i don’t have the risk as i didn’t bleed at all yet? Will the placenta come out when bleeding will happen naturally after waiting ? i am confused and also very worried.
Female | 23
Not all pregnancy tissue may have passed yet. While some women do experience bleeding days after taking medication, others may not bleed significantly. The medications prescribed are to prevent infection, which is important. Retained tissue can lead to complications, but not experiencing bleeding does not necessarily indicate that is occurring. It’s crucial to follow up with your gynecologist to evaluate your situation and ensure proper care.

Irregular periods. No pcod No pcos AMH level is also good Had periods after 2months still only spotting
Female | 25
Stress, intensive exercise, thyroid problems, and hormonal disorders are some of the factors that can lead to irregular menstruation. Your situation is different, as you said that you didn't have PCOD, PCOS, or AMH levels issues, so it could be other hormonal fluctuations. To address this, it is preferable to lead a balanced life, deal with stress, visit a gynecologist for further explorations or treatment if necessary.

Female | 28
The bleeding can be a result of the hormonal imbalance that is triggered by the pills. The side effects you are experiencing are also common. One must keep an eye on the bleeding and at the same time drink enough water. If the bleeding continues or worsens, it is important to get medical help from a gynecologist to ensure everything is fine.

I am 24 and had an abortion in january. It makes me very sad. Since then my period has changed. Now it lasts 8-9 days. Normally 6 days. What is wrong?
Female | 24
Your period can change after the procedure. Having your period last 6 to 8-9 days is common. This may happen due to shifts in hormones after abortion. If you have heavy bleeding or worries, talk to a gynecologist. Take care of yourself during this time.

Stress can be the reason for the late period sometimes. It could also be some other factors like hormonal imbalances, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), thyroid issues, or too much exercising. If you have doubts, it's better to go to a gynecologist for a thorough examination.

I got my period after 2days of unprotected intercourse and it's been a week and there is no symptoms
Female | 15
It's normal for your period to be late after unprotected intercourse, as the body sometimes reacts this way. It's common not to show any symptoms for a week. Pregnancy symptoms might appear later. Stress or changes in your routine can also delay your period. If you're concerned, taking a pregnancy test in a couple of weeks can give you a clearer answer.

Hello mam I'm 18 years old and I had my first sexual Intercourse yesterday with condom protection, and this is before 1 and half week of my period, and during the process there was no ejaculation from him, so are there any chances for me to get pregnant?
Female | 18
Even if you use a condom, there's still a small chance of pregnancy if there was contact between the genitals. But, if the ejaculation was avoided, the chance is very low. So, nothing to worry about if you're late at times in your periods. A physical examination and pregnancy test after a week or so will be useful for a positive result to confirm that you are pregnant or not.

I did my pregnancy test. Before 5 minutes it was a faint line, after five minutes it became darker. So am I pregnant?
Female | 25
A faint line that becomes intense may mean that you are pregnant. At times, a faint line might be the first one to come out during early pregnancy. Among the typical pregnancy symptoms are missed periods, nausea, and tiredness. The most advisable thing to do today is to get confirmation from a gynecologist and consult him/her for further guidance.
