Hi, I want to know if is it possible to get Chemotherapy medication for stomach cancers?

As per my understanding you are enquiring about stomach cancer. The treatments available for it are surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, targeted therapy and immunotherapy. Treatment options depend on several factors including age of the patient, the type and stage of cancer, possible side effects, and the patient's preferences as well as overall health. Hi, I want to know about Palliative Chemotherapy. Recently, my aunt was suggested this treatment by her Oncologist when she was diagnosed with 3rd stage Pancreatic Cancer. I wanted to know if this is a specific stage-based treatment or is it given for all kinds of cancer?

Palliative chemotherapy is a treatment that is designed for terminal cancer patients to prolong their survival and ease symptoms of cancer, but does not cure disease. It can be administered in a variety of ways with the most common being:

  • Orally: Pills taken by mouth.
  • Intravenously (IV): Infused through a vein.
  • Topically: Applied to the skin.

Hi, my brother is suffering from stage II prostate cancer. Kindly suggest me line of treatment and the best Oncologists in Mumbai for the same

Stage II cancer means cancer has not yet spread outside of prostrate but is large. Treatment depends on age of patient, his general condition mainly. Radical prostatectomy is done and if during surgery it is found that cancer has spread or if few months after surgery PSA has increased, then external beam radiation is considered. Either solely external beam radiation, or brachytherapy, or both are considered depending on patient's condition and cancer stage. If patient has serious health issues then radiation therapy with brachytherapy is planned. Regular follow up with clinician is very important. Please consult an oncologist - Oncologists in Mumbai. Hope our answer helps you.

Hello, I am experiencing some symptoms of Prostate Cancer. Is there any way to check if you have prostate cancer or not without visiting a hospital?

Consulting a clinician and getting thoroughly evaluated is the right way to get yourself diagnosed and treated. Just searching, reading and trying to match your symptoms to a particular disease will lead to unnecessary stress, anxiety and delay in treatment. So please get examined by Urology Consultation doctors in Mumbai, or any city of convenience, and if some pathology is detected then get treated.

What are the symptoms one can experience if they have Eye Cancer? Are they noticeable or do they go unnoticed?

Eye cancer does not always cause obvious symptoms and may only be picked up during a routine eye test. Some of the common symptoms of eye cancer are:

  • Shadows
  • Flashes of light
  • Blurred vision
  • Dark patch in eye that's getting bigger
  • Partial or total loss of vision
  • Bulging of 1 eye
  • A lump on eyelid or in eye that's increasing in size
  • Pain in or around eye, others.

The above mentioned symptoms can also be caused by more minor eye conditions, so they're not necessarily a sign of cancer. Consult an ophthalmologist. Hope our answer helps you.

Hello, one of my relatives is suffering from stage 1 Pancreatic Cancer. What are the causes of Pancreatic Cancer and is it curable?

Factors that may increase the risk of pancreatic cancer are: smoking, diabetes, chronic, inflammation of the pancreas (pancreatitis), family history of pancreatic cancer, obesity, family history of genetic syndromes that can increase cancer risk and others. Pancreatic cancer is called a silent killer because it often grows or spreads undetected. Many tumors of Stage 1 pancreatic cancer are resect able, or capable of being removed through the surgery. If surgery is not possible, other standard treatment choices include chemotherapy, radiation or both. Consult Cancer Treatment doctors in Mumbai, or any other city you prefer. On in-depth evaluation of the cause they will guide you through the treatment.

Hello, what are the early symptoms of Pancreatic cancer that a person can detect?

In many cases there are often no signs and symptoms, until the pancreatic cancer has reached an advanced stage. Even when there may be some early signs and symptoms, they are often vague, so patients tend to ignore them or doctors sometimes attribute them to some other disease.

Some of the early symptoms of pancreatic cancer that need to be taken seriously include:

  • Jaundice (with or without itching)
  • Dark urine or light-colored stool
  • General symptoms such as back pain, Fatigue or weakness
  • Pancreatitis
  • New-onset diabetes in an adult
  • Unexplained weight loss
  • Loss of appetite
  • Malnutrition
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Abdominal pain, others.

Consult oncologists. Hope our answer helps you.
