How much does half leg laser therapy cost? Is there any surety that all the hair will be removed

  • Charges of laser hair removal for half of the legs range anywhere between rs. 2,000 to rs. 8,000 for each session.
It will get most of your hair removed, but as it's not permanent therefore the hair will grow back after a while.
  • Electrolysis hair removal treatment on another hand can ensure permanency in removing hair, but is costlier, and will charge rs. 800 to rs. 5000 per hour.
  • The temporal side effects of both treatment actions are pain, redness and swellings.
  • But if not done properly, then can result in permanent scarring and changes in skin color.

I want full body hair removal

Laser hair removal treatment (rs. 1,500 to rs. 55,000 for each session) can slow down hair growth & produce results that stay for a long time, but they won't be permanent.

Electrolysis hair removal treatment on another hand is the only known permanent method which is recognized by the FDA, the cost of which can fall within the range of rs. 800 to rs. 5,000 per hour.

Charges of both treatments may vary depending upon the type of equipment, location, number of sessions, body parts treated and the area covered. Electrolysis would additionally depend on your hair density as well.

For more information, you can refer our page - Dermatologists in India, and reach out to experts. You can also message us whenever you are having any confusion.

The temporary side effects of both treatments include pain, redness and swellings.

But if not done correctly, then they can lead to scarring and changes in skin color as well.

Whole body is itching from past two days and whole body has red spots and marks. Medicine going on but still it's itching a lot.

Itching all over the body can be because of various causes like infections, allergies or drug or food allergies, certain conditions like hypo or hyperthyroidism, diabetes etc. Please consult a qualified Dermatologist for the right diagnosis, apt treatment and dose adjustment of the current medicines that are being used. Dermatologist may also recommend certain blood tests and biopsy if necessary for the right diagnosis. Avoid using harsh soaps that strip the moisture from the skin. Use good emollients containing glycerine, shea butter, ceramides etc for soothing effect. For more information you can visit best dermatologist in India.

I am 18 years old female and I have pimples, acne on my face since 4-5 months ...

All acne is caused by clogged pores, but non-inflammatory acne doesnt has bacteria in it and is not situated deeper within the pores either. When oil, bacteria, and other foreign substances get caught deeper within your pores, your body’s natural defense is to produce pus. In short, pus filled acne indicates the presence of bacteria.
For inflammatory acne treatment, you have the following options:

  1. Over-the-counter drugs: use skincare products that have Benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid.
  2. Appropriate skincare regime: Wash your face in the morning and night, wear oil-free moisturizer once you are done washing your face, and wear sunscreen as the final step of your skincare routine. And please don't scratch or pop them.
  3. If you don't find changes even after several months of following these steps, then reach out to an expert: they will have topical retinoids, isotretinoin, oral antibiotics, topical antibiotics, and hormonal medications, or even advanced clinical treatments.

Please do not use any home remedial solution: because what we have observed so far is, that people apply seemingly healthy ingredients to their skin, without knowing how to extract the right chemicals from them, or what their chemical composition actually is, or how same could react with their skin post-application.
Just because your skin feels cool/smooth after applying them, doesn't mean that they worked.

Hi. I've a question regarding my niece's skin problem. She is a 7-years old. She has developed red patches of skin on her cheek, chin and around nose. The affected area of her cheek is very dry. I brought her to a doctor who prescribed two creams, mezoderm(betamethasone) and gentamicin-akos which made things far worse. Then at the pharmacy I was advised to use ftorokart(also a cream with triamcinolone) for my niece's face. After a few uses of the cream, I've seen some noticeable improvement in her skin condition since she started to use it. It took the redness out of her nose. But she still has rash and blisters on her face. I took photos of her face in case it might be helpful for you to identify the reason for her skin condition. Here are the photos of hers: https://ibb.co/q9t8bSL https://ibb.co/Q8rqcr1 https://ibb.co/JppswZw https://ibb.co/Hd9LPkZ Would you mind helping us to identify what caused this skin condition?

According to the symptoms and signs described, it appears to be a case of atopic dermatitis which is common among children of the mentioned age. It is a condition where the skin barrier is disturbed and is extremely sensitive to external environmental triggers like cold and dry weather, dust etc. It presents as red dry itchy patches on cheeks, hands and legs sometimes whole body. The above mentioned creams contain  topical corticosteroids which are to be used with a great caution under the supervision of Dermatologist. Good barrier repairing creams including emollients with squalene, ceramides etc can help reviving the skin barrier. Steroid sparing drugs can be prescribed  to manage the rash. Please consult a qualified Dermatologist and do not use topical corticosteroids without doctor’s advice as it may cause many adverse effects.

Hi,my name is Arita sarkar,I am 21 years old ,I have stretch marks on my hands, how to rid of it???

A dermatologist can help your condition with retinoid-based creams, laser therapies as well as microneedling. This can't be treated using home remedial solutions, as they are largely ineffective, unresearched, and can be harmful in some cases as well. I am having skin allergy after being hospitalized for 3 days because of dengue. I have itching rashes on both feet heavily and some is developing on other parts also..... Please suggest remedy

Dengue associated rash is quite common and can be a sign of acute stage or resolution stage. Rash may occur within initial two to three days or may occur during the resolution of fever. This may be associated with itch, dryness and peeling of skin The However platelet count has to be monitored during the onset of rash. Supportive treatment like anti histamines and soothing lotions and moisturizing lotions can help treat the rash. Please consult a Dermatologist for appropriate treatment.

Kya pigmentation hundred percent thik ho sakte hain

Some types of hyperpigmentation might go away, but some may not, depends on the severity of the issue, as in how deep the scarring is, or to what extent the skin gets covered.
Without treatment, the fading will take 3 months to 2 years, whereas with treatment the results may be fast-paced but the degree of effectiveness remains to be seen.

Pigmentation ka ilaaj hai kya

  • OTC creams: Try applying those creams on your pigmented spots, which contain the following ingredients:
    1. hydroquinone
    2. licorice extract
    3. N-acetylglucosamine
    4. vitamin B-3 (niacinamide)

If you have any kind of spots or discolored patches, then these might help.

  • Face acids or skin acids: Such acids help obtain smoother and even skin tone, by shedding the uppermost layer, whenever you exfoliate. Fresh skin cells emerge thereafter, to replace the former ones.
    Favored options are:
    1. alpha hydroxy acids, such as glycolic, lactic, citric, malic, or tartaric acid
    2. azelaic acid
    3. kojic acid
    4. salicylic acid
    5. vitamin C (in the form of l-ascorbic acid)

Works for any kind of hyperpigmentation, as long as it's mild and prevalent on fair skin tones.

  • Retinoids: Reaped from vitamin A. Their small molecular structure enables them to permeate deeper into the skin and heal the layers beneath the epidermis.
They have prescription versions too, whereas OTC ones are weaker.

Best line of treatment for wrinkles, but can also help with hyperpigmentation. If you have darker skin tone then confirm from dermatologist.

  • Chemical Peels: These peels use acids of stronger concentrations to treat the desired area of skin. They diminish the appearance by removing the epidermis. Deeper versions may seep through the middle layer of your skin (dermis) to deliver dramatic results.

Try this if you have sun burn, tanning, spots, or blotchy skin.

  • Laser peel: This treatment works with targeted beams of light to lessen hyperpigmentation.
    There are two varieties:
    1. Ablative lasers: are intense and they remove layers of your skin, but they also make you prone to side effects.
    2. Non-ablative lasers: target the dermis to boost collagen growth and tightening effects.

Both are concerned with eliminating impurities in your skin so as to ensure that newer skin cells grow back.

  • Intense Pulse Light Therapy: This is a non-ablative (fractional) laser therapy, which incites collagen growth within the dermis. It requires multiple sittings.
IPL is used for all pigmented skin issues, but flat spots respond better to this procedure. It might also reduce the appearance of wrinkles, spider veins, and enlarged pores

  • Microdermabrasion: Microdermabrasion is used to treat hyperpigmentation that affects the epidermis only (superficial scarring).
During the treatment, your dermatologist will use a drill-like handheld appliance with a wire brush or some other abrasive as its attachment, to swipe over your skin.
Same will eliminate epidermal scarring. You may need multiple sessions to achieve your ideal result.

  • Dermabrasion: Involves the removal of your epidermis, but it also manages to reach to a part of your dermis.
While dermabrasion smoothens out wrinkles, the procedure has been historically used to address texture related concerns.

Taking your skin tone, severity of concern and budget constraints into consideration, your dermatologist will work out the best option(s) for you - For every treatment except OTC creams, you would require dermatologist guidance, refer this page to find exceptionally good doctors - Dermatologists in India.
