Im 31yrs married , have 2 yrs kid. I had continuous menses in the month of Nov and till 15th Dec. Missed my menses for Jan... Performed P test which came out negative.... But I feel some movements in my stomach... Am I pregnant or do I have any other issues i should be worried of...

Getting a P-test as negative with irregular menses and movements in the stomach with this information the chances of being pregnant cannot be ruled out.

Most important factor associated with P-test is when and how it is being performed.

False Negative Pregnancy Test

- A false negative pregnancy test is in case you are pregnant but the test comes up negative. The most common reason behind false negative is that the test was performed too early.

Even though your period is late as per your usual cycle, you might have ovulated later in the month. It's not unusual to have an off or irregular cycle occasionally. In addition to it, you must have counted the number of days from your last period incorrectly

Pregnancy tests assess the pregnancy hormone hCG, which rises as pregnancy progresses. The standard range for hCG levels in pregnant women may differ. Pregnancy test before the specified time might pick and detect low amounts of hCG.

-Another reason behind the false negative is not having sufficient hCG in the urine while performing the test.  In the early days of pregnancy, there is chance that the hormone concentration can get diluted in case you consume a large amount of water before testing.

The hCG concentration is on the higher side in case you have hold the urine for long time and that is why it is recommended that you should take a pregnancy test in the morning.

This is the best time to consult Best Gynecologist near you for further treatment.

I am 24 year old girl who is suffering from pcod and facing hirtuisim and acne unwanted hair on legs chest and some on underarms still I am under medication I want to know does it can be controlled by waxing till I don't want laser at least for now or laser is the only last option to get rid permanently from unwanted hair

Given that you have a disorder related to hormonal imbalance, therefore laser would be rendered inefficient in your case. Electrolysis hair removal is the only known treatment recognized by FDA which can deliver permanent results though, and it can also help you despite your condition, so this is an option for you. It ranges between Rs 800 to Rs 5,000 per hour and is safe to use on facial area. Cost varies depending on factors such as doctor's choice of equipment, location of clinic and its infrastructure, number of sessions, area covered, and the density or volume of your hair as well. You can refer to our list of Dermatologists in India and connect with the right kind of experts if you want more knowledge on this. Also, you can approach us whenever you have any doubts. The temporary side effects will be pain, redness and swellings. But if not done properly, then you could risk having scarring, keloid scars and changes in skin color.

I am 25 year age and I am pregnant 18week and I report baby is not normal, skull is absent so doctor wants to get it aborted, just want to ask how much time it will take to abort and how much will it cost?

There are 6 types of abortion surgeries depending on the stage of pregnancy when you decide to get the treatment, but given the time that has passed by now, we believe Hysterotomy Abortion will be the only option left for you, that is if you are still waiting to get the operation done, it happens from 22 to 38 weeks of pregnancy. The charges can go up to Rs. 50,000 or more, but it will depend on the location & expertise of clinic as well. And the operation would be of some hours but recovery time will be in weeks.
If you want then you can also get in touch with experts by referring from our list of Gynecology doctors in Mumbai, or that of any other city nearest to you.
We are also extremely sorry for replying late, and will help with any other need or query related to medications & treatment that you have, we cover a lot of services under medical tourism.

I am 16 year old girl. My name is Gul Jain. I am having pain in my breast and it has spread from breast to shoulder, armpit, neck and I am having shortness of breathing and I have consulted an endocrine he gave me paracetamol, a pain relief gel and tamoxifen 10 mg table, But did not get any relief and my breast is also heavy.

• Breast pain can be associated with anything from Fibrocystic breast changes, menstruation related cyclic pain, pregnancy, breastfeeding, side effects of certain medications, infection such as mastitis to inflammatory breast cancer.

• Heaviness of breast is because of various reasons such as large breasts, breast cysts, mastitis, pain originating from chest wall or pectoral muscles but not related to breasts and in rare cases associated with Breast cancer.

Further investigation is required in your case so as to confirm the cause behind the breast pain which include:

 Mammogram - Mammogram may assist you in diagnosis where in case the doctor feels a breast lump or unusual thickening or detects a focused area of pain your breast tissue, an x-ray of breast will help in evaluating the area of concern.

 Breast examination - In which health care provider will examine your breasts as well as the lymph nodes in your lower neck and underarm for changes and will most likely listen to your heart and lungs and examine your chest and belly to see whether the discomfort is caused by another ailment. If your medical history, breast exam, and physical exam find nothing out of the ordinary, you may not require any extra testing.

 Ultrasound - An ultrasound exam, which employs sound waves to create pictures of your breasts, is frequently performed in conjunction with a mammogram. Even if the mammography seems normal, you may require an ultrasound to check a specific location of discomfort.

 Biopsy of the breast - Suspicious breast lumps, thickening regions, or unusual areas observed during imaging scans may require a biopsy before your doctor can establish a diagnosis. During a biopsy, your doctor collects a tiny sample of breast tissue from the affected region and sends it to a lab for investigation.

• Tamoxifen is usually prescribed in treatment of patients who have cancerous growth in the breast.

• Breast tenderness can be managed with application of warm or cold compresses, occasional use of pain killers, low fat and high complex carbohydrate involved diet and limiting the consumption of alcohol and caffeine.

Consult a Gynecologist for further investigations and treatment.

I had caesarian 18months back but now I missed my period and I had home test where it was positive. I dont want a baby now, and I have gone to the doctor but he said that if you have gone through caesarean then you have only one option, that is only surgical abortion. And I want mtp. What should I do? please help

If you don’t want pregnancy, then you will first have to get your sonography done, to see for how many weeks you have been pregnant. Second, how to approach this issue also depends on the number of months for which you have been pregnant, and if it's in the range of medical termination then you will be prescribed pills for same. You can approach gynecologists - Gynecologists in Bangalore, let the clinicspots team know if your city is different, and I can be consulted as well. Take care.

Hi am 22 years old female, I sexually active and I suffering from vaginal ichiness, unusual discharge, like cottage cheese, slightly yellowish and dryness in my vagina. Also I feel pain during sex due to dryness. I have suffered urinary infection around 10-15 days back. I think this a kind of bacterial or yeast infection in my vagina. Please recommend some oral medicine as well as some tube for vagina. Thanks.

You have vaginal candiasis plus bacterial vaginosis. Doing following things can help you:

  1. Take tab Fas3 kit, which also contains all the information regarding how to take the medicine.
  2. Insert candid CL vaginal pessary in your vagina at night for 3 nights.
  3. Also take tab fluconazole 150 mg every Sunday for next 6 Sundays.
  4. This kit also has to be taken by your partner

Regarding UTI treatment you need to check your urine routine microscopy test:

  1. Go to lab, they will give you a sterile container.
  2. Wash your private parts with soap and water, separate your labial skin with your hand and let a very sparse amount of your initial urine drain away, then within that flow of urine itself, you collect the remaining fluid in the bottle and give for testing.
  3. Till the time the report comes, you can start syp cital 2 caps in one glass of water three times a day.
  4. Also take novefos Satchet 3 gm in one glass of water stat, no further dose of this satchet.
  5. Once this infection settles down, you can contact me or any other gynecologist for vaginal dryness, this page can help you find relevant doctors to look out for - Gynecologists in Mumbai. Let the clinicspots team know if your city is different, or you can consult me as well.

Lastly, avoid intercourse till the time you are not cured of your infection.

Can you get pregnant by wiping vagina with a tissue which have sperm on it during ovulation time? Last period 31jan-4 th feb, but till now period is not having.

It’s not possible to get pregnant by doing whatever you have mentioned. Please do a urine pregnancy test through a kit that is easily available in the chemist shop. If it’s negative which is more probable, then you need to undergo a transvaginal sonography to understand the reason why you aren't getting periods. Once you get the reports you can consult doctors - Gynecologists in Delhi, also let the clinicspots team know if your city is different, or else you can approach me as well.

Hello mam I’m Maliha Musharaf I have pcos I’m married I can’t conceive probably I need to conceive

I'm 20 year old female. I'm suffering from PCOS and medication has just started. Can I rely on healthy lifestyle to manage PCOS or will I have to depend on medicine all the time?

Dear ma'am, PCOS is a recurring disorder, so if you successfully maintain healthy lifestyle along with taking medicines as prescribed, then your health will improve and gradually your doctor may develop this confidence that you don't need to continue taking medicines any longer, unless any changes are observed. But since they re-occur, thus even if you manage to make it out of it temporarily you may still get pulled into it again. A healthy diet plays an essential role in regulating your hormones, so you might consider getting in touch with dietitian/nutritionists in Navi Mumbai or any other city near you.

These symptoms are seen in PCOS - Polycystic ovary syndrome/disease, but could also be attributed to some other hormonal disorder, for which we would suggest that you visit best gynecologists in Mumbai, or other cities that you deem fit.  And for laser hair removal on chin, STARTING cost might be between 2000rs to 3.700rs. We hope that your conditions improve!

I am 25 old. I suffering from bilateral ovaries show pcod changes ()L>R),thickened endometrium measuring -23mm,grade -2 fatty liver.

Obesity, particularly central adiposity and insulin resistance are the main factors linked to NAFLD in PCOS. Existing data suggests that excess of androgen, the main feature of PCOS and is interconnected to insulin resistance, can be considered as additional causative factor in development of NAFLD.

Lifestyle changes include low-fat diet, weight loss and exercise are considered to be suitable for management of PCOS patients with NAFLD. In case pharmacologic therapy, metformin or pioglitazone and Vitamin A is usually prescribed.

Hi Dr, Ovarian cyst is there with few sub centimeter of lymph nodes in right ovary,i have consulted almost 5 specialist all of them suggested for laproscopic removal of ovarian cyst no one suggesting for lymph nodes,I am so confused that what we will do for lymh nodes,Please share your view.

Lymph nodes should be removed or not depends on their size and whether they cause any symptoms or not. If your doctors have advised on removal of ovarian cysts, you should go ahead. Or take another opinion from an experienced gynecologist. This can help them better understand your condition and decide whether is is necessary to remove the lymph nodes or not.
