Is taking two normense harmful if I forget one?

Patient's Query

I take two normense at a time. My doctor prescribed me to take normal 3 times in a day but whenever I forget to take a normense I took two.is it very harmful??

Answered by Dr. Swapna Chekuri

Taking an extra Normense occasionally shouldn't cause any major issues, but it's best to stick to the prescribed dose. You see, doubling up on medication too often can lead to potential side effects like dizziness or upset stomach. To help you remember, try setting alarms or using a pill organizer. If you find yourself missing doses frequently, it's a good idea to chat with your gynecologist. They might have some helpful tips or possibly adjust your dosage for better adherence.

I am a 20 year old male. i was put onto treatment by my doctor and mt traditional healer at the same time. my traditional healer gave me a drink to drink over the course of four months (September to December) and now I can't feel the effects of my doctors medication. what could the issue be?

Male | 20

Sometimes when people mix things up like this, it can have surprising effects on them. It could alter how those drugs work on you. Maybe that’s why you haven’t been responding to treatment as expected. The best way forward would be to communicate these things with your doctor openly for an optimal solution.

From and up to what age is chickenpox healthy for children?

Female | 25

Chickenpox is generally more common in children and is often considered a childhood disease. It's most commonly seen in children aged 1 to 12 years. In many cases, getting chickenpox during childhood leads to immunity, meaning that a person is less likely to get it again later in life. However, chickenpox can affect individuals of any age, including adults.

Hy please tell me a good cough medicine for 60 plus onwards

Female | 65

Coughing can be caused by different factors in older adults, such as allergies, infections, or underlying health issues. Medications, including dextromethorphan or guaifenesin, that can be bought over-the-counter, can be prescribed to alleviate the discomfort. Nonetheless, it's essential to pay close attention to the existing medical conditions and medications a patient may be taking. Also, exceptionally, one can breathe in steam from a boiling pot or shower as well as drink more water or use a humidifier to ease stinging. If your breathing problem does not disappear in a short time or gets worse, seek professional medical help for personalized advice and assessment.

Male | 19

I would recommend you to see an ENT specialist to get your ear examined. Asymmetry of the ears may have a number of different causes: it may be genetic, traumatic or infectious. Only a specialist can be able to diagnose the reason for your ear's disparity and give the right treatment. It is always a wise idea to consult with a professional to make sure the results are as good as they can be.

I am a 32 year old male, i am suffering through cold and flu for past two days, please suggest a prescription to treat this.

Male | 33

Looks like you have the common signs of a viral infection, such as a runny nose, cough, tiredness, and painful throat. These disorders are often caused by the common cold viruses. To reduce the symptoms, non-prescription drugs such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen can be considered for pain relief, antihistamines for congestion, and plenty of liquids to stay hydrated. Rest is also important for recovery. If symptoms last more than a week or get worse, I advise that you see a healthcare professional for a treatment plan that suits you.

Mujhe 2 saal pahele vaccinated dog ne kata tha aur maine vaccination nhi karwaya tha toh kya mujhe koi problem ho sakti hai

Female | 16

If bitten by a dog, get medical attention right away. Rabies is an acute syndrome of fatality and cannot be treated after symptoms appear. The vaccine is very effective but only if it was given before the appearance of symptoms. If you have been bitten by a dog, contact an appropriate medical specialist as soon as possible.

Male | 20

You're experiencing pain while taking ciprofloxacin, which occurs occasionally during your treatment. This pain may be caused by irritation in your stomach due to the medication. Prolonged exposure to ciprofloxacin can lead to discomfort. It's important to inform your doctor about this so they can advise you on the next steps.
