Why Am I Feeling Tired and Uninterested in Eating?

Patient's Query

Body tired, no desire to eat food

Answered by Dr. Babita Goel

Sometimes, feeling tired and not really up for eating could be due to things like stress, lack of sleep, or even an underlying medical condition. Your body is like a machine; if something's off, it can affect your energy and appetite. I recommend trying to get some rest, eating small, nutritious meals, and staying hydrated. If these feelings persist, it might be a good idea to check in with a physician just to rule out any other concerns.

I have a fistula how can I get rid of it She came back to me now a year later She tormented me for six years

Male | 45

Fistula surgeries are carried out by a proctologist or any physician in colorectal surgery. To start, you should call a specialist and visit for a diagnosis of your type of fistula. Missed therapy will lead to bacterial infections that can cause abscess and sepsis and all these could be fatal for the patient.

I was tested positive for covid last week Monday and been isolating taken meds which is finished now but still have symptoms, my throat is burning, body and head is paining very bad , feeling tired all the time , no taste or smell , vommitting stopped but as diarrhoea, today was last day of isolation can I go back to work or must I stay home till the symptoms stop completely

Female | 40

It’s common for some individuals to experience lingering discomfort after a COVID-19 infection, including throat irritation, muscle aches, fatigue, and gastrointestinal issues. Given that you still have symptoms, it's advisable to continue your isolation until you feel better. Returning to work too soon may risk spreading illness to others. Please consult a healthcare professional for personalized guidance and support. They can provide recommendations based on your situation. Remember to stay hydrated and rest as much as possible.

Hi doc suffering from cold and cough and throat pain want to consult

Male | 32

I see you are suffering from a cold, cough, and sore throat, which are quite unpleasant. These symptoms are usually caused by viral infections and, in most cases, they cause the sore throat to become inflamed. So as to make your situation better, try to be well-hydrated, get enough rest, and use the non-prescription medications either lozenges or anti-inflammatory drugs. Warm saltwater gargles can offer your favorite relief. In case your symptoms are still present or severe enough after a couple of days, get proper medical check-up and treatment.

Female | 19

Your face acne could relate to an unhealthy diet. Trouble sleeping may result from stress or anxiety. Headaches might stem from not finishing your previous medication course. Stomach discomfort after eating could signal digestive issues. Feeling nervous and inability to concentrate may also link to anxiety. To improve, try eating healthier foods, managing stress levels, and resuming headache treatment. However, it's important to consult a doctor for personalized guidance and support.

I have got into the habit of drinking Mountain Dew. How to stop it?

Male | 22

Drinking too many sugary drinks like Mountain Dew could lead to problems such as gaining weight, having decayed teeth, or even damaging your heart eventually. To quit, attempt changing over to water or other healthy beverages. Besides, reduce the quantity of Mountain Dew cans or bottles you buy so they are not easily accessible when needed most.

Regarding Dog Bite, Dog has bitten me before 8 to 10 years and I haven't took any vaccination. So now what should I do.

Male | 23

Dog bites are dangerous and you can catch infections or even rabies, although it happened many years ago. Pay attention to the following signs: redness, swelling, or warmth around the wound, headache, or fever. The extent of inflammation is still a consideration for you to take the vaccinations. No worries, the first stages of the therapy are the most effective. Consult a doctor for the perfect evaluation and tips.

Male | 17

You've provided information about a fever lasting for three days, noting that a temperature of 100.8°F is considered a mild fever. Suggestions include increased water intake, adequate rest, and the use of over-the-counter analgesics like acetaminophen or ibuprofen to control symptoms. However, you advise contacting a healthcare provider if the fever persists or if other symptoms emerge. This guidance aligns with common recommendations for managing mild fevers but emphasizes the importance of medical attention if needed. If you have specific questions or if there's anything else you'd like to discuss on this topic, feel free to let me know!

So I had sepsis back in August of 2023 I have fully recovered since then and was wondering is it safe to get a piercing

Female | 19

It is recommended to wait at least a year after recovering from sepsis before getting a piercing. This is to ensure that your immune system has fully recovered and can handle any potential infections. It is also advised to consult with an immunologist or infectious disease specialist before getting a piercing to ensure that it is safe for you.
