Dr Smruti Hindaria is a consultant cardiathoracic surgeon at Ruby Hall clinic, sassoon road, Pune . Dr Smruti Hindaria has done her graduation (MBBS) from the prestigious Seth G S Medical college and KEM hospital , Mumbai from 2003-2009. She has done post graduation (MS General Surgery) also from Seth G S Medical college and KEM hospital , Mumbai from 2009-2012. In January 2013, she was awarded A.V.Baliga prize for standing first in MS General Surgery examination in KEM hospital. After that she pursued super-specialization degree M Ch in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at the renowned Grant Medical College and Sir JJ hospital , Mumbai from 2012-2015. She has done clinical observership in pediatric cardiac surgery at Fortis hospital and child heart mission, Mulund , Mumbai. She also has pursued clinical observership in Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery at U N Mehta Hospital, Ahmedabad and Apollo Hospital , Bangalore. Since October 2015 , she has been working as a consultant cardiac surgeon performing adult and pediatric cardiac surgeries and has performed more than 1000 open heart surgeries successfully over a span of 8 years of surgical career. Dr Smruti Hindaria was a co-investigator in National trial of a ‘made in India’ bioprosthetic valve ‘Dafodil’ by Meril Ltd.,India. The trial started in January,2018 and the follow-up is ongoing. She was a member of the cardiac surgeons’ team who performed first cardiac transplant at Dr D Y Patil hospital and medical college , Pimpri in september , 2021. In November 2020 , she was felicitated with Golden Aim Award for Excellence in Healthcare - CVTS by Dynergic Business Solution. She is currently the only female cardiothoracic surgeon practising in Pune. She is also the recipient of Times Now Icon award for healthcare in Cardiac Surgery for 2022. She was a finalist for Mediqueen Mrs. Maharashtra beauty pageant held recently in Pune, January , 2022-2023 when married lady doctors from all over Maharashtra participated.
