Chest lymphocytes swelling
Male | 30
Swelling in lymph nodes within the chest can arise from various factors, including infections, inflammation, or occasionally more serious conditions. Common accompanying symptoms may include coughing, pain, or fever. It’s essential to monitor any ongoing issues, such as persistent swelling or discomfort. Starting with rest, hydration, and over-the-counter pain relievers can be beneficial. However, I recommend consulting a hematologist for a thorough evaluation and tailored guidance, ensuring your health is prioritized.

I finished taking pep on 16th this month on 18th I started experience flu headache, fatigue stuffy and runny nose, sore throat, but today the sorethroat has vanished but I have mouth ulcers at my lips.what would it be am worried
Male | 27
The flu-like signs you experienced, such as headaches and fatigue, can be common after starting medication like PEP, as your body adjusts. Mouth ulcers may arise from factors like stress, dehydration, or irritation. Staying well-hydrated and practicing good oral hygiene can help soothe these sores. If the discomfort persists or worsens, I recommend consulting a physician for personalized advice and to ensure everything is progressing well.

Hello doctor I have a very challenging question here for you to help me with. Do you have to extend the duration of PEP for HIV prophylaxis to more days if the patient got another exposure on the 6th day while taking the regular 28 days dosage regimen. He had so far reached the 6th day of taking his PEP and got anothet exposure. So should we add more 6 days on top of the remaining 22 days. Thanks Laurence
Male | 26
If a person on HIV PEP experiences another exposure to the virus on the sixth day of treatment, it is of the utmost importance to consult a doctor. They will consider the situation at hand very carefully and consequently decide this case. Quite sometimes, they might find it adequate to prolong the treatment duration according to personal circumstances for optimal safety. Never forget that open and honest communication with your healthcare team is the crucial component of the best possible care.

I have 16 pea sized lymph nodes I am 57kg my height is 5ft 10 I’ve had them for almost 2 years and they haven’t got bigger or changed I’ve had blood tests previously and they all came back fine. I do have 2 under my jaw that’s a bit bigger than a pea though. Is it a concern? I have no symptoms except bad anxiety. I am highly afraid of cancers
Male | 17
Your lymph nodes not changing size or growing for two years is good. When it comes to cancer we tend to worry a lot due to anxiety. They might remain slightly enlarged sometimes. It’s usually benign but it would be prudent to get the larger ones checked by your doctor. Additionally, work on calming down your nerves because that can also be of help.

Period blood is black wh?
Female | 23
Dark or black menstrual flow can occur as a result of blood that has taken longer to exit the uterus, often indicating older blood. This can happen during lighter periods or at the beginning or end of your cycle. Factors such as hormonal changes, stress, and various health conditions can also influence flow color. Generally, there's no cause for alarm. However, if you experience unusual symptoms like severe pain or significant changes in your pattern, a consultation with a gynecologist is advisable to ensure everything is well.

My mother is blood cancer patient and now she has excess cough with mucus from 2 months . Some doctor said it’s a side effect of chemo medicines of vincristine injection
Female | Manju gupta
After chemotherapy, a cough that is accompanied by mucus may appear because our immune system is weakened, or it may be due to the damage of the respiratory system from treatments similar to vincristine. Make sure she stays well hydrated, and make her drink a lot of fluids. Also, a humidifier might be a good idea for relief. I suggest you talk with her oncologist and get it clear from him about these transitions and perhaps the altering of the therapeutic plan.

Dear Doctor, today my son under went routine blood and urine test. Most of the parameters are normal except RDW-CV which shows 14.3 %. Normal range as shown i the report is 11.6 - 14.0. Is it serious ? What precautions can be take ?
Male | 30
RDW-CV is a measure of the variation in the size of red blood cells. An increase in RDW-CV can be a sign of anemia or nutritional deficiencies. Fatigue, weakness, and paleness may be among the symptoms. To tackle this, ensure a balanced diet that is rich in iron and nutrients. Further assessment by a doctor may be helpful.

Understanding your blood report can be challenging. Various factors such as diet, hydration, stress, or underlying health conditions can affect the results. Common symptoms linked to abnormal values include fatigue, weakness, or unusual bruising. To gain clarity, consider focusing on maintaining a balanced diet, staying hydrated, and managing stress. I have WBC 4.53 out of 5-10 normal range. My Neutrophils NEU % 43.3 with normal range 50-62 and lymphoctes lym% 49.2 with normal range 25-40. What does this mean? I used 2 weeks antibiotics for my UTI but this was 3 months ago
Female | 24
Your most recent blood test results show that your leukocyte count and various kinds of cells are slightly outside the range of normal. This might suggest that your body is still in the process of recovering from the urinary tract infection you had three months ago. The antibiotics you have been taking could influence these numbers, too. Ensure you drink enough water, consume a healthy diet, and observe any new symptoms that may arise.

Female | 26
Low hemoglobin levels can lead to fatigue, weakness, and shortness of breath. Common causes include nutritional deficiencies, blood loss, or underlying medical conditions. Taking a well-woman supplement alongside Feroglobin is typically safe but consult with a physician to ensure it’s appropriate for your specific needs. They can provide personalized advice based on your health history. Additionally, continuing to eat a balanced diet rich in iron, such as lean meats, beans, and fortified cereals, can be beneficial.

Started taking pep and it’s day 12 now but the results after testing it went positive
Male | 25
It's understandable to feel concerned after receiving a positive test result, even while taking post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP). PEP is highly effective but not 100% guaranteed. Symptoms of potential HIV infection can include fatigue, fever, or swollen lymph nodes. I recommend scheduling an appointment with your sexologist, who can guide you through further testing and provide personalized advice. This is a crucial step to confirm your status and discuss any next steps for your health.

I am 22 years old and having normal diet frequently .But i don't see my muscle mass is increasing. It's like khana kha raha hui par pata nhi kaha ja raha hai. (1)Can u suggest me better diet plan in terms of increasing my muscle density. (2) Can i take whey protein powder as form of daily protein intake without doing gym ?
Male | 22
To do this, eat foods such as chicken, fish, eggs, and beans for protein. Also, have a lot of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains for your health in general. It is alright to take whey protein powder as a supplement, but it would be most effective if used with regular exercises that build muscles. Always keep in mind that working out is essential for muscle development!

Hy my mom has 2 months bleeding now doctr prescribed novelone for 21 days she takes her 4 th tablet today now she has light bleed how this stop totally
Female | 48
The light bleeding she's experiencing while on Novelone could be due to various reasons like hormonal imbalances or changes in the uterine lining. Sometimes, it takes a bit of time for the body to adjust to the medication. It's good that she's following the prescribed regimen. I recommend she continues taking the tablets as directed. If the bleeding persists or gets heavier, it's essential to reach out to her gynecologist for further guidance.

Male | 42
Looking tired sometimes can have so many different explanations. The results of your blood screening can show some hints. In case your iron level turns out to be low, your body will be susceptible to fatigue. Having a diet rich in spinach and beans can help increase your iron level. Deficiency of sleep can be a reason for tiredness, too. Regularize the habit of going to bed early and having quality sleep. If the blood test results show any problems, your doctor can find you the appropriate remedy.
