I am 52 yr old female patient. I'm suffering with dry cough and wheezing since 4 days. What should I do now?
Female | 52
You are having a hard time with a dry cough and wheezing. These symptoms could be signs of a respiratory infection or asthma. You may have a dry cough due to irritation in your throat. Wheezing is a high-pitched whistling sound usually produced when the airways are narrowed. To relieve your symptoms, you can use a humidifier, drink warm liquids, avoid triggers like smoke or strong odors, and stay hydrated. If your symptoms persist or worsen, it would be wise to visit a pulmonologist.

103° temperature and throat and cough
Male | 19
A 103°F temperature along with a sore throat and cough can mean that you have been infected with a virus such as the flu or a cold. Most of the time, these as well originated at the side of the body virus. Your body temperature goes higher to attack the infection. However, the infection can be fought by high fluid intakes, enough sleep, and taking over-the-counter drugs. So if there is no improvement after 2-3 days you may need to see your pulmonologist.

I am having cough which looks more allergic. And phlegm and wheezing sound only appears when I coughs. It's like someone is choking you when you have the cough. It really hurts my throat and head while coughing. And sometimes maybe due to my panic, cough results in cough syncope. I also have antral gastritis. I have been diagnosed with bronchitis 6 months back. My chest Xray shows only small prominence in right lungs and rest is normal. CT is normal, XRay is normal. Only my TLC count is elavated to 17000 and however eosphil and basophil count is normal. I am slightly anemic. According to my doc, my body is unable to absorb iron. My O2 and BP all are normal during my cough episode. However, I feel tremor throughout my body and sometimes my hands and legs become pale while I cough. I am perfectly normal if I don't have the cough episodes. I also has slight GERD maybe due to antral gastritis.

Had a chest xray for a cough/chest congestion that has lingered for a week. Do I have to take a zpak if no bronchitis or pneumonia was seen on xray?
Female | 47
A chest x-ray may rule out pneumonia or bronchitis but whether the prescription is appropriate remains questionable. In case you have a persistent cough and chest congestion, it is recommended that a pulmonologist should be consulted for further examination and treatment.

The last 3 nights I have woken up choking for air. I'm really scared this night be sleep apnea although my symptoms are more like acid reflux. I'm 38 and very slim. Do you think this is a low chance?
Female | 38
At 20 and 130 pounds, sleep apnea is less likely but possible. However, acid reflux can cause similar choking feelings. Reflux happens when stomach acid backs up into the food pipe. To help: avoid heavy, spicy meals before bed. Raise the head of your bed. Eat smaller meals during the day. Talk to a pulmonologist if you're still concerned.

About 1 month she gave been suffer from temperature and cough , influenza. Now a day temperature high low high the whole day
Female | 1.5 year
It sounds like you’re experiencing ongoing symptoms of fever and cough, which can be bothersome. Fluctuating temperatures often indicate your body is fighting an infection, possibly viral, such as influenza. It’s essential to stay hydrated, rest well, and consider over-the-counter medications to manage your symptoms. If your fever persists or worsens, or if you develop new symptoms, I highly recommend consulting a pulmonologist. They can provide a thorough evaluation and appropriate treatment options tailored to your situation.

Male | 28
Post-nasal drip could cause your discomfort. Excess mucus draining down your throat can make you cough and feel sinus pressure around your forehead area. Food consumption might trigger it. Staying hydrated by drinking water regularly, and using saline nasal spray, could alleviate these symptoms.

How to take sevfurane 50 inhaler? After taking sevfurane does a person stop breathing? What if a person drinks the sevfurane?
Female | 27
Inhale the sevfurane 50 by breathing in slowly and deeply while pressing down on the inhaler. Do not stop breathing after taking it as it should not make you stop breathing. If a person drinks sevfurane, they may feel dizzy, confused, have a slow heartbeat or even slip into a coma. In such a case, one should be rushed to the hospital without any delays. Drinking sevfurane is extremely dangerous and could lead to loss of life.

Several factors can cause sharp irritations on the left side of your body, including issues with the respiratory system, anxiety, or heart problems due to inadequate food intake. Eating healthily, staying hydrated, and resting may help improve these symptoms. However, consult a pulmonologist if the irritation persists or worsens.
