Any issues with taking I pill one month postpartum?

Patient's Query

One month postpartum I talk I pill any problem

Answered by Dr. Swapna Chekuri

It's quite common for new moms to have irregular periods in the first few months after giving birth. The hormonal changes during pregnancy and postpartum can cause fluctuations in your menstrual cycle. Taking the pill can also impact your cycle. In fact, it's not unusual to experience some irregular bleeding or spotting when you start birth control. Just keep an eye on how you're feeling and if the bleeding becomes very heavy or you develop severe pain, it's a good idea to reach out to your gynecologist. In the meantime, make sure you're eating well, staying hydrated, and getting some rest whenever you can.

I got my period on 26th October and had sex on 3rd November.this month I did not get period.but I don't want pregnancy now.suggest me

Female | 22

Failing to show up for the period is a little terrifying, but let's work it together. The causes of these symptoms could be psychological, hormonal, or reproductive. As far as you are concerned, you also had sex without protection; therefore, the likelihood of pregnancy is there. I would suggest taking a home pregnancy test to confirm this possibility. In the case, you find out you are pregnant, consulting your doctor about your choices is a great next step.

I got my last period on jan 2 and have been having unprotected sex since then today i took home pregnancy test and line at C is dark and line at T is faint also having brownish and red blood

Female | 23

Depending on your symptoms, it could be an implantation bleeding. However, to confirm pregnancy and rule out other potential issues, you should go see a gynecologist. I would suggest a visit to a specialist in obstetrics and gynecology for assessment and appropriate treatment.

I am using vaginal pessaries since 3 days as I have yeast infection. But today I got my periods. Can i still use vaginal pessaries Or i should stop using it??

Female | 22

While menstruating, it's fine to continue using vaginal pessaries. Yeast infections may cause discomfort like itching, burning, and abnormal discharge. Pessaries deliver medication directly where needed, treating the infection. Follow usage instructions for pessaries during your period.

I’m 23, I had my fallopian tubes removed but my period is 3 days late, is there a chance I could be pregnant even though I don’t have them

Female | 23

It is completely natural to be concerned about a late period, even after having your tubes tied. Here’s the thing though – not having a period can occur for many reasons besides being pregnant. Stress hormones changing up or certain drugs could all cause your menstrual cycle to go off kilter. Taking a test can help ease any worries so if this is something that is worrying you then go ahead and do it.
