Can I Get Flu Vaccine Now, Doctor?

Patient's Query

Assalam o alaikum, dear Dr. Can I take flu vaccine now.

Answered by Dr. Babita Goel

You can definitely get the flu vaccine now. It's actually a great time to do so before flu season kicks in. The flu vaccine helps your body build immunity to the flu virus, protecting you from getting sick. It's especially important if you have any underlying health conditions or are in close contact with vulnerable individuals. Just visit your nearest physician to get the vaccine. It's a quick and simple process that can make a big difference in keeping you healthy. If you have any specific concerns or medical history, feel free to discuss them with the healthcare provider before getting the vaccine.

Jukam sar dard khasi hai sir

Male | 16

If you have a cold, headache, and cough, it could be due to a common viral infection. It's best to stay hydrated, rest, and take over-the-counter medications to relieve symptoms. However, if the symptoms persist, please visit a general physician to get a proper diagnosis and treatment.

Okay, I have a staphylococcus infection that I am treating. I took a Rocephin injection because other drugs were resistant. After the injection, I was prescribed a drug called ciprofloxacin. I have been experiencing some pain while taking ciprofloxacin.

Male | 20

You're experiencing pain while taking ciprofloxacin, which occurs occasionally during your treatment. This pain may be caused by irritation in your stomach due to the medication. Prolonged exposure to ciprofloxacin can lead to discomfort. It's important to inform your doctor about this so they can advise you on the next steps.

Had fever on Friday.. Fever Went off by Saturday and not able to eat properly..

Male | 50

It seems you had a minor infection that caused the fever. Fever is your body’s way of fighting germs, so it's good that it went away on Saturday. However, the infection might be affecting your appetite. Drink plenty of fluids and try light meals like soup, biscuits, or fruits. If the issue continues or you feel worse, see a doctor promptly.

Hi, I am a 17-year-old male who was scratched by a cat. This cat is not a house pet, as it lives outside of the house and can wander around the village freely. I was lightly scratched on my hand with some blood. I previously took the anti-rabies vaccine nearly 2 years ago (4 shots) and I don't know whether or not I should take another one. This cat is also not vaccinated against anti-rabies.

Male | 17

Your anti-rabies vaccine is still recent. A scratch from a cat might lead to an infection, but rabies is uncommon. Be watchful for swelling, redness, or discomfort near the scratch area. If those signs arise, visit your doctor promptly. No need for another vaccine now since yours is still valid. Clean the scratch thoroughly and monitor it.

mujhe chot lag gai thi gutnay per girnay ki wajah say gali main giri hon 7 days ho gaye hain main tatunus injection nhi lagwa saki kia ab main tatunus injection lagwa sakti hon jab k 7 days ho chuke hain

Female | 21

agar aapko chot lage hue 7 din ho gaye hain aur aapne ab tak tetanus injection nahi lagwaya hai, toh abhi bhi tetanus toxoid (TT) injection lagwaya ja sakta hai — especially agar chot zakhmi thi, surface dirty thi, ya bleeding hui thi.

Tetanus ka virus soil, dust, ya rusty surface se aata hai aur yeh serious ho sakta hai. 10 din ke andar tak injection lena faida de sakta hai, lekin jitni jaldi lagwayein, utna achha.

Aas-paas ke healthcare centre ya clinic mein jakar TT injection turant lagwa lijiye.

Agar chot zyada gehri thi, toh kabhi-kabhi Tetanus Immunoglobulin (TIG) bhi recommend kiya jata hai.

My mom of age 62 has normal BP range but feels tired now and then.Sometimes she is fine while some other time she feels tired. So why is this happening?

Female | 62

It could be related to stress, insufficient sleep, or lifestyle and diet changes. Besides, endocrine changes or mild dehydration could also contribute to fatigue. Ask her to let her have time to rest, keep hydrated, and eat balanced meals, then encourage her to regularly exercise this can enhance the energy levels of an individual. If the tiredness does not subside or even worsens, my advice is to go to an expert and let him/her check underlying health issues.
