Can I prevent pregnancy 15 days post unprotected sex?

Patient's Query

How to avoid pregnancy after 15 days having unprotected sex

Answered by Dr. Swapna Chekuri

After unprotected intercourse, there's a risk of pregnancy due to sperm meeting an egg. There are options available to help prevent pregnancy, such as emergency contraception. It's best to consult with a gynecologist or visit a clinic for guidance tailored to your specific situation. They can provide you with the most suitable advice and support.

Why do you have sex again and again? I am a married woman. I'm very worried

Female | 37

It's completely normal for couples to desire intimacy frequently, as it can enhance emotional connections and overall well-being. Increased libido may stem from various factors, like hormonal fluctuations, emotional closeness, or stress relief. However, if this feels overwhelming or concerning, reflecting on your feelings and communication with your partner is essential. Consider discussing any worries you have openly with them. If anxiety persists, seeking guidance from a healthcare professional can provide tailored support and reassurance. Your comfort and understanding are important, and a doctor can assist in exploring these feelings further.

Hello, I'm reaching out on behalf of my brother, who is a 32 year old male. Recently, he was diagnosed with HIV, and we are trying to understand the specifics of the condition. I'm particularly concerned about the possibility of HIV transmission from female to male. Can you provide information on the risks and preventive measures in such cases? We want to ensure he receives the best care and takes necessary precautions.

Male | 32

For a person already diagnosed with HIV, it’s crucial to adhere to prescribed antiretroviral therapy (ART) to manage the condition. Regular medical check-ups are also important. Safe practices, including using barrier methods during sexual contact, can prevent further transmission. Please consult an infectious disease specialist for personalized advice.

Is there any medication to treat erectile dysfunction as I'm not getting to hard?

Male | 47

Erectile dysfunction (ED) can be managed effectively with the right approach. In addition to professional treatments available at our clinic, there are also some home remedies and precautions you can try: Healthy Diet: Incorporate foods rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals, such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins. Regular Exercise: Engage in physical activities like walking, jogging, or yoga to improve blood flow and overall health. For addressing erectile dysfunction and improving firmness, you can try a couple of home remedies that might help. First, consider incorporating a mixture of honey and ginger juice into your diet; take a teaspoon of this mixture daily. Additionally, practicing pelvic floor exercises can strengthen the muscles involved in erections. However, these remedies may not work for everyone, and it's essential to understand the underlying causes of your condition. For a personalized treatment plan tailored to your specific needs, I recommend scheduling a visit to our clinic. Dr izharul hasan

I had sex with a girl, using a condom. She had her period starting on the 4th of march, and her ovulation was on the 17th of march, we had sex on the night of the 23rd of march, i didnt ejaculate inside the condom, if there was any liquid it was precum. I had previously masturbated the last night on the 22nd of march. I have urinated multiple times, so does that mean that there wasnt any residual sperms? My erection didnt last long and my penis deflated, causing the penis to slip out of the condom, and the ring was outside of her vagina. When we noticed, i took out the condom, we checked if there was a hole in the condom, and there was not. For precautionary reasons, she took Plan B pill 30 minutes after the "accident". What are the chances of unwanted pregnancy? She is also expected to get her period in 6 days, on the 31st of march. She said that she took a Plan B pill the 1 month ago. Should we worry if her period is late by a couple of days?

Male | 19

The chances of pregnancy are pretty low. Plan B works by disrupting ovulation temporarily. So if your period is slightly late after taking it, that's normal. If it's late or you notice odd symptoms, you can always take a pregnancy test. Try not to stress too much.

facing premature ejaculation problem as well as problem with erection. I am 36 years old. how to get rid of it. dont have any such other health issues. but from very early age have a addiction to masturbation. what should i do, should i start taking viagra or something else. kindly guide

Male | 36

Certain issues can cause people to finish too quickly and have trouble getting hard. Mental health can play a part in it, such as feeling nervous or being under tension. The problem may also be caused by masturbating too much when you were younger. Instead of taking drugs like Cialis, you should first try to find out what’s really going on through therapy or counseling and then look for ways to deal with your concerns. You must speak openly about this with your doctor so that they can give you the right advice.

Male | 37

Feeling impotent or not lasting long in bed can really be annoying, but it needs to be handled early enough. Signs may be finding it hard to keep an erection and ejaculating too soon. Causes are; stress, unhealthy living or other unknown illnesses. Some tips for getting better include regular physical exercise, healthy eating habits and stress reduction methods such as meditation among others. Its also advisable that you seek medical help from professionals who will provide you with individualized treatment depending on your condition.

Am i at risk if i smoke with someone who has genital herpes

Male | 27

Herpes simplex virus leads to genital herpes. However, smoking with someone infected won't transmit it. Blisters, itching, and genital pain indicate infection. The virus spreads through skin contact during sexual activities.

Taking PEP post tablet for 28 days. In this days white colour liquid taken out on my penis so it's could problem for me and sny medicine or tablet can help prevent this

Male | 23

White fluid is quite common, which is the case while you are on PEP tablets. This is not a problem. The white liquid is most probably the discharge that can occur when these medicines are taken. It's the body that discards extra matter. No additional medicinal treatment is required to cure this. Stick to your PEP and complete the full course of 28 days.
